While the idea of plugging our headphones into the same jack as every Tom, Dick, and Harry on the subway is slightly off-putting, we can’t fault Pepsi for their innovative new advertising campaign that encourages passers-by to listen to short song snippets from publicly-situated multimedia displays. Close to 100 of the interactive posters have been deployed by Canadian advertising firm BBDO around the Toronto and Vancouver areas, allowing you to quickly unplug from your iPod and jack into 30 seconds of tunes that are meant to whet your appetite for owning the entire track

Emirates have announced that they will sponsor Paris Saint Germain (PSG) football club, in a deal that covers branding rights on the player’s shirts and at the Parc des Princes stadium.
This deal continues Emirates aggressive strategy of football sponsorship, which includes sponsorship of the FIFA World Cup, and the sponsorship of English club Arsenal FC, which is bigger than the PSG deal and involves a branding agreement for the club’s new stadium which has been renamed the Emirates Stadium.

It’s being tested in Dallas, Texas, and seems to be well received so far.
If it takes you around 3 minutes to fill up your car’s petrol tank, then it’s an opportunity for marketers to catch you.
The ‘gas pump’, as Amercians call it, comes with a TV screen and sound featuring programming- probably short news pieces and snippets from famous TV shows- with some advertising.
It’s the latest in out-of-the-home advertising ideas, some of which succeed and go on to spread, while other dissappear.
