Indeed. This Hebron pottery grenade demonstrates its fragility.
This advertisement by the United Nations, created by Saatchi & Saatchi in Australia, seems relevant to the current situations in Lebanon and Gaza.
If only the UN did more than just advertise this slogan!

This is an advertisement now being discussed on many advertising blogs.
American TV network, CBS, is using this campaign to promote this season’s programs; with CBS copywriters referring to this approach as “egg-vertising.â€
Notice how they tie in egg-themes to the shows:
CSI (“Crack the Case on CBSâ€)
The Amazing Race (“Scramble to Win on CBSâ€)
Shark (“Hard-Boiled Drama.â€).
Monday Night Comedy Shows (“Shelling Out Laughs,†“Funny Side Up†and “Leave the Yolks to Us.â€)
The idea isn’t too impressive. One must wonder why it’s causing such a commotion in the US.
It’s far from egg-cellent.

Every once in a while, advertising agencies create a new marketing term, primarily aimed to promote their services- of course- but some of these terms manage to stick.
“Activation Marketing” seems to be one of those terms, which Grey Worldwide says is the philosophy of its new network of specialized marketing services called G2.
Network companies like Grey Direct and Grey Interactive will unite under the G2 brand.
Major clients to be serviced by G2 include Shell, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Mercedes-Benz, Levi’s, 3M, Mars, Coca-Cola, Procter & Gamble, Nokia and Adobe.
Big names ….. soon to be ‘Activated’.

It seems that online media auditing is gathering pace in the region, as Zawya.com announces the results of an ABC Electronic Media Audit.
The audit, carried out in May 2006, shows that Zawya has 212,853 unique users, with total page impressions of 3,488,783.
Zawya was already considered among the top regional portals, but it’s interesting to note that 80% of the content of the site is ‘locked’ and only available to paying subscribers.
So, you would assume Zawya has a massive number of paying users, which also explains the high number of page views per user: 15 pages.
If user’s are paying for the service, they’ll want to get their money’s worth!
This information is of importance to advertisers, as is the profiling of the users.
Read more at Strategiy.com.
Surely, now we’ll be seeing more online audience audits in the region, whether through ABC or BPI, for leading regional portals.

Social-networking site MySpace.com has surpassed Internet powerhouses Yahoo Mail and Google as the most popular U.S. website, according to research from Hitwise.
In the week ending July 8, 4.5 percent of all U.S. visits to the web were to MySpace.com, and traffic to the social-networking site has soared 132 percent in the last year alone.
Marketers in the US are still trying to figure out how to use MySpace to promote their products, which is why MySpace’s leadership means little so far in terms of impact on Google and Yahoo’s established advertising solutions.
Anyway, MySpace will figure out something soon.
I wonder how popular MySpace is in the Middle East.
For now, read the details about MySpace overtaking the mighty Google and Yahoo here at The Globe and Mail.
