there’s something i dont like in this???
u didn’t forced the idea in a creative way!
sorry guys its just my opinion :)

  • http://www.adsinjordan.com amre husseini – AKA BITEME

If you’re on a wanted poster it means you haven’t been caught, if you haven’t been caught why are you posing for a police station picture? ;-)

What was this a card…i mean what was the format?

  • suzan

sorry i have to comment about your comment, but i think their idea is pretty cool and brilliant, yet self explanatory! probably you’re just one of those people who dont allow their brains to think for a longer time! a person could get caught, get a mug shot, and then manages to flee…….! and that’s the time when he would be reported as wanted again! does this make more sense to you now dear?
great job you guyz, keep it up!

  • GM

i like the idea :) it made me smile…. it explains some creative/professional values! have a good 2009!

  • eh

i like… message behind the ad (they have loyalty to their agency and that made them most wanted). suzan u right. but these days when money talks employer walks. :)

  • http://www.adsinjordan.com amre husseini – AKA BITEME

Yes amazing award winning idea isnt it…

    A. The copy is the problem, if you change the word wanted you solve the whole issue and dont have to justify it by being caught released and caught again right?

    B. NEW CRIMES NEW VICTIMS…who is the victim the client of the agency, the supplier? What are the crimes?

    C. EH “What does when money talker employer walks mean”

    D. The concept is nice and could work yes; but the attempt to relate the copy to it unfortunately isn’t.

  • http://www.adsinjordan.com amre husseini – AKA BITEME

and no one answered, just out of curiosity what is this? Is it a card, is it a poster, is it an email shot?

  • eh

no clear message… because of the copy, u right amre. but about comment C. its so clear especially for u… ya3ne bel 3arabi kam designer enta sa7abet men Y&R because of double salary ? did they think of loyalty to Y&R when u paid double offer to them ?

and no one answered, just out of curiosity what is this? Is it a card, is it a poster, is it an email shot?

  • Hala

Thank you all for your comments.
I do not think it takes a genius to translate.
this was used both as a poster and as a greeting email shot.
as for the copy .. our crimes are the the adjectives we’re holding .. we’re guilty of being professional, creative, etc… and as for our victims its for 2009 to tell .. have a nice day.

  • GM

Amre, with all due respect, for some reason i feel that you are trying to force your opinion and views on this issue! i do not think that it is award winning, however, i think it is a inspirational, simple and it tackles a certain emotion that makes you smile and gaze at these people’s faces :) come to think of it, most of the advertising in the arab world lacks an element or two if you really concentrate and compare it by the book…maybe even your’s!

    lets move on already :)

  • Nader

It’s a greeting card… and it was sent to DDB’s clients wishing them a happy new year…simply!

I like it… It’s personal and intimate…it’s a message from the entire company’s staff… including the tea boy!

Again… simply… it puts a face to the company

Our company received it…and we all loved it :)

Good Job you guys :) keep it up

  • http://www.adsinjordan.com amre husseini – AKA BITEME

eh: double salary for Y&R employees not correct.

GM – with all due respect; I made a post #2 and you guys all started getting defensive whereas you didn’t have to respond to my comments now did you, I think I am entitled to my opinion; which actually wasn’t attacking anyone it was just stating what to me was obvious.

GM – also you say you want to keep this on the professional side and then you make that hilarious “maybe even yours” comment..very smart…

    MOVING ON NOW…

  • sam

    Ok Ok everyone…take it easy!

No need to attack each other and lets stay focused on the really issue here…’the wanted ad’

I like the concept and in principle get the idea behind it. However I have a serious problem with the visual with the young lady carrying the word ‘Playful’ ….please tell me it’s not intended as a description for client servicing. What? do they offer ****************** to potential clients??????!!!!!!

So in future I think DDB need to think better of the copy they use and the perception it may reflect.

    Cheers,
    Sam

  • quick comment

something tells me that the most commented ads on this blog happen to come out of jordan and that means most of the members are in jordan so something tells me theres quite a bit of friction between the agencies, I think its quite normal but a bit juvenile too. I think you should all be professional and comment on the ads without any prejudice on who did it.

  • sam

Then can you please comment on the ad Quick Comment?

  • http://mediame.com Zeid Nasser (Admin)

    :)

And the Kuwaiti commentors do it too when we post work from Kuwait ……

It seems Kuwait and Jordan are two very active, very online-aware advertising communities!

  • playful

i would like to say “Thank you” to all of you who posted their Advertising-related comments which is what this site is all about,

and being the DDB member holding the playful sign up there in the image and who got the chance to be commented on by Mr. Sam, i just felt like telling you Sam boy that i was not AT ALL offended by your unproffessional, out of manner, not advertising-related comment, in fact, if anything, you just added more to the buzz of the image which in return shows how creative and worth commenting on it is! after all i know that my colleagues and i chose that name for me -and which am proud of- for the appreciated and joyful spirit that i add to our beloved agency, am also SURE that all those advertising-oriented people – whom you’re obviously not one of – who view this site and post their proffesional comments can easily relate to what having a PLAYFUL person means in an advertising agency!

As for those of you -professional people – who were wondering what this was used for, well, it was used as a poster and a greeting e-mail shot

    Again, thank you all !
    Playful :)

  • eh

    walla3at :)

  • quick comment

oh yeah forgot to comment, i think this wont win any awards anytime soon because its not very original but i think their existing clients will like it. Its also nice to see a face(s) to the company. Gives it a personal touch.

  • GM

Wow, all that?! I think we are all a group of friendly people who just happen to sound aggressive in writing!! Ya Sayed Amre, you are still proving my point by taking this personally, I apologize if I offended you but be sure that I did not mean to insult you or whatever agency you represent! But we all do have our mistakes, YOU HAVE to admit that! And I certainly do not have anything to be defensive about. You just need to become skilled at taking things more easily :) and I say that in a “friendly way” while patting on your back :)

But I do, however, agree with all you commenters, & I say it again, this is not award winning AKEED… But as one commenter said “it puts a face to the company”. That’s why it’s nice and creative, disregarding the copy writing of course. DDB guys, good job, keep it up, but I don’t think you will get any awards out of this, but good luck with the clients though, you need those more at this time crises :)

  • Creative Rules

I find it amusing that Amre Husseini manages to create friction and animosity without me winding him up and exposing him all the time.

Just proves who is the real shit stirrer on this site doesn’t it Zeid?

What’s even more hillarious is if you google his name you’ll find an interview where he says…

Quote…I am very proud of the fact that I am one of the few that still believes in the abilities of the Jordanian creative talent. It is for that reason that I have insisted on having Jordanians leading our creative force at the agency. Some may argue that bringing in the foreigner will help develop Jordanian talents, but my personal experience allows me to disagree with this argument as my ten years in the local industry have shown me that the foreign and experienced talents tend to prefer to take the credit for themselves and tend not to share and develop the young Jordanian creative minds working for them…Unquote

He has just hired an Australian Creative director who starts this week. LOL

  • capo

First, this idea if we saw it on a wall as a poster, the copy needs to be clear for the message behind it, but if its sent to the clients and as a poster in the office, then its working for me, and for ur comment Mr. Eh about the double salary in publi Graphics, ur right, i have friends there, some of them r still there and the others left, yeah they all were paid double or a bet less, but anyway most of us works for money, in the end company owners must realize that we work and we do the hard job more than any other jobs i guess and they gain lots of money for production and design, so why not, let them pay…

  • creative rules

    EH.

You’re wrong about Publicis doubling the salaries. They stole an art director from Y&R and wait for it… tripled his salary in order to get him to go there. (They have to just to get people to go there. :)

  • creative rules

BTW this poster from DDB is tragic. Fancy positioning yourself as an agency full of dumb looking criminals. The whole idea sucks. New crimes? WTF does that mean? And new victims? What your clients are your victims? OMG.I f you’re going to do a house ad for your agency it has to be bloody brilliant. (Like the legendary finger ad)

  • http://www.adsinjordan.com amre husseini – AKA BITEME

Creative Rules awakes from his sleep and continues to prove he is a retard…Welcome back!

    A. Dont have any art directors who’s salaries are tripled only two creative people we have recruited from Y&R came willingly while wanting to escape your attempts to take all the credit. Wont even touch the salary thing because that’s just you convincing youself.

    B. Thank you for googling me…when was that interview posted? Also to prove you wrong once again, Nathan, Jeremy and Greg are not employees of Publicis Graphcis Jordan…

    C. Every comment you made in post 24 are copies of things I’ve said earlier so once again the copy cat is back.

    D. Congrats on the copy cat for the KAFA campaign with the frame of the family. So that makes 2 in the last 3 months…

    E. Quick comment is the blogger who caused the controversy here and surprisingly he only appears when creative rules wakes up.

    F. Real shit stirring only seems to appear when you do Peter, but that goes without saying since we can smell you a mile away.

    G. I though you only blogged during lunch time and out of work hours…

I’ve said it so many times before, get your foot out of your mouth, stop creating issues, STFU and get back to work.

GM – Didnt take it personally, I commented on an ad and everyone freaked out…

  • Hala

Funny how this turned into a very immature fight…
we would’ve loved to see some constructive criticism ..
but anyways thank you all for the efforts..

  • GM

Well understood Amre :) I agree with Hala, this is so immature! My apologies to the DDB team if I contributed in that.

  • maya

    GM rulesssssss:) touché ….

Amer sorry but if u are really convinced about what you are saying then why try so hard to justify yourself …

Plus i think u have more important things to do (like work on award winning ads) than to spend your time replying on the blog.

    Cheers:)

  • sam

Thank you for your response Playful.

It seems that you were offended as you choose to put me and my comment down…accepted by you though and I refuse to stoop down to that level.

In anycase, I understood the descriptions were related to the value added provided by DDB staff to thier clients…from your explaination above that is not the case, therefore the ad is lacking direction and is positioned incorrectly.

    Regards,

    Mrs. Sam

  • playful

Well Mrs. SAM………..thank you for replying and clarifiyng that you’re a Mrs., i just simply never expected a Missy to be THAT dirty minded and use the words you used and which were Thankfully sensored by the admins!!!!

i do feel bad that i have to thoroughly break it down that much just to try and spoon feed you what one of the MANY meanings behind our ad is! afterall i can’t blame you if you’re by nature that much of a short minded person!!

YES… you just said it yourself, the descriptions were RELATED to the added value provided by DDB staff to our clients! so in order to give this added value to our cients, the staff should be inspired, motivated and in the mood to work and come up with what ends up adding value to the outcome! so playful “IS” related if you think of it that way!

    Capiche now my friend?

  • creative rules

    Amre the Adblog clown,

    A. I saw the triple salary figure in black and white. (Like I said that’s the only way you can get good people to work for you) And wrong yet again only one came from Y&R the other from Wunderman.

    B. All three were hired by you for Publicis. FACT. You know it and I know it. Doesn’t matter when the interview happened you said it so don’t try and take it back now that you’ve hired three foreigners. (Maybe these unfortunate people should go to http://www.jazarah.net/blog/exclusive-interview-with-amre-husseini/ and read it for them selves.)

    D. Your agency blatantly ripped off the Burger King poster with the tomatoe as the tounge. Direct rip off not only from Heinz but from Burger King USA using cheese as the tounge. 3 out of 3 in the past month.

    E. As we’ve all proved over and over and over again Quick Comment is you in drag.

    :) Have a nice day.

  • http://www.adsinjordan.com amre husseini – AKA BITEME

The big difference between you and I is that you create stories and repeat them so often you start to believe they are true. So lets not waste anymore time:

    A. PG employees weren’t lured by money, they were lured by the opportunity of not working for you anymore. Go ahead you know them and I know them…ask them.

    B. Google Greg Wixted, Jeremy Taylor Riley, Nathan Ross and then eat your words as usual.

    C. OMG how far you have to reach to accuse us of copy cat advertising. Nice try oh and thanks for accrediting the BK ad, it was recognized by BK / Diageo this year FYI.

    D. 3 for 3…WTF does that mean. When I said 2 for three, I mean that’s twice you’ve been caught copying directly out of your archive books. If you’d like I’ll send across copies of the emails in circulation about the subject.

    E. Why did you come back on this blog…what have you been sitting back quiet just reading and waiting for an opportunity to say something? I thought your bosses told you to stop blogging.

NOW: One last time, remove foot from mouth, count to ten think of a great new comeback and I’m sure we’ll be talking again soon.

FINALLY: As i have invited you many times before…you have my email address you are more than welcome to send me your hate mail directly so as to let everyone get back to commenting on the artwork.

  • Monty

Blimey…who knew that the advertising industry in Jordan was so bitter, nasty and cut throat. I think you have all damaged the reputation of your agencies. I can’t believe that senior management of any company would have such a public and immature slanging match – Mr. Nasser – perhaps an opportunity for another event – Advertising Industry Death Match!

As for the ad…i think its let down by the copy…I like the idea – although pretty sure I have come across something very similar in the past – but you could have come up with something a little more amusing re the text – telling your clients that they are going to be your next victims is a little odd – no matter how you spin that, the word victim (and crimes) will still have a negative connotation…perhaps something along the lines of pleading guilty to being incredibly creative and innovative would have been more apt…crimes and victims just sounds wrong.

  • creative rules

I’ve already proven beyond doubt that BK is a blatant ripoff and that you personally hired all three foreigners (even though you don’t believe in them) so stop rambling on and lying your way out of things as usual.

But Amre, far more seriously, as CEO of a large agency group, surely you have far more important things to do than spend all day, every day, on a blog designed for creative people? For God’s sake… run your company… talk to your clients…pay huge salaries to get good people…find something to do.

  • creative rules

Maybe you could serve my good mates Rami and Jeremy a cup of tea or coffee when they need one. :) Just a thought.

  • creative rules

    Hey Monty,

    Welcome to Adblog.

I fully understand what you’re saying and totally agree with you.

We all have the huge task of trying to keep poor old Amre honest, stop all the bullshit and expose him when he consistently uses other user names.

It’s a tough job but someone has to do it. :)

BTW your comments on the DDB poster are spot on. But be careful they sound alot like Amre’s comments in post #6 above. Next you’ll also be accused of being a copy cat. LOL

  • http://www.adsinjordan.com amre husseini – AKA BITEME

Creative rules, seriously, you need to get a grip on reality…and stop creating stories that you would love to believe.

    A. How have you proven the BK ad is a rip off?
    B. How come you make accusations but then forget accusations made against you mr. cauliflower, broken frame, nabil down a slide?
    C. Once again this is a blog for whomever wants to blog, and far be it for you to judge who are creative people.
    D. Wake up, look back at your posts once again you started slinging shit and once again you want to try and be a police man.
    E. You accuse me of blogging under different names, but the truth of the matter is that once you disappeared from this blog so did all those CREATIVE RULES aliases. Do you deny that you have admitted on previous posts that you were blogging under different names.
    F. Do you deny that your bosses have repeatedly asked you to stop blogging.

Rather than recommend I go do my job, why dont you listen to your bosses and your employees and go do yours.

One last time, this is my email ahusseini@publicisgraphics.com.jo rather than continuously use this blog as a form to project your hate contact me directly. As you said leave this forum to creative people and to commenting on creative work…

    Have a coke and a smile and…

  • http://www.adsinjordan.com amre husseini – AKA BITEME

And for everyone else…for three months this blog has been doing just fine. Go back and look at the history, everyone just commenting about the work and then out of the blue CREATIVE RULES the master of creativity smells his way onto this site again and we are now at post 38 and the subject matter is draining.

Please join me in inviting PETER SUTHERLAND AKA creative rules, Fred, psutho, quick comment, rules, etc…to only comment about the work and not worry about what others are saying and also invite him to contact me directly whenever he likes at ahusseini@publicisgraphics.com.jo, but he wont because no one would be watching or reading…

    :-)

  • capo

amre, as i said on post No. 22, i know ur creative team, i know there salary now and the salary before that, so stop this shit, FYI its all about money, not about the name of the agency beleive me, and i know close people who’s working with u till now, beleive me ur not as smart as u think.

    cheers…

  • http://www.adsinjordan.com amre husseini – AKA BITEME

CAPO ok I’m calling your bluff right now my friend…

Name the creative team employee and name his salary before he / she joined and we’ll ask a neutral party to go down to social security and confirm if their salary doubled or tripled.

Once and for all lets prove that I’m a liar.

  • http://mediame.com Zeid Nasser (Admin)

Well, guys ….. I have not interfered so far, but I ask you to kindly realize that the world is watching.

I’m beginning to get comments from the ‘off-line world’

Maybe you can do this via direct email with one another, unless you and your company management teams are totally OK with this public ‘spat’ in which actual names and salary details are now being mentioned.

  • Creative rules

    Hi Zeid,

How are you mate? Good to hear from you.

Go back over this DDB poster blog. You’ll see that all of them… GM, EH, CAPO and MAYA all had spats with Amre way before I commented on the above ad. It just proves everything doesn’t it? :)

BTW inspite of some bias opinions by some posters on this thread (who obviously created the poster above) IMO it’s a very poor example of creativity. Especially when you have no restrictions and you can create whatever you want.

    Cheers

  • http://Moeys.net Moey

Great work DDB and Zaid… 3adi!

  • http://www.abdallahsumrin.blogspot.com AbdallaH SumriN

Nice work DDB, I’ve one comment…

The guy carrying “”visionary”" looks a bit different than others, I think that the problem with his shoulders… I prefer someone else.

    regards,

  • eh

i think Adblog became now FaceBlog…. calm dawn ya jama3a.

  • http://www.adsinjordan.com amre husseini – AKA BITEME

    Mr. Creative KAFA Cauliflower rules…

What are you trying to be a police man?

    A. Amre made comments about the ad not the agency or whomever was behind it.

    B. People like GM, EH, etc made comments that defended it and Amre continued to comment on the work

    C. The hero of the day CREATIVE FOOL jumps in and wants to blame it on Amre and make personal attacks.

In line with what ZEID requested, keep your comments offline or contact me directly, but again we all know you wouldnt do that.

Just comment about the work from now on, we’ve had a great time doing it for the last three months without you.

  • creative rules

Hey Amre look in your inbox,

I just emailed you the award winning original Burger King poster that was found on a website the day your ripoff poster appeared. :)

  • quick comment

no one commented on how pretty the girls at ddb look.
    ;-)

  • Monty

How about you post the two ads somewhere so that we can judge for ourselves?

  • creative rules

    Where?
