    Biteme. Didn’t think it was that much of a stretch. Mans guide to flowers. A bloke friendly flower shop that understands guys always have a reason for wasting money on organic matter that will have rotted away before you get the bill on your credit card.

    Sorry Vegas, but it just doesn’t work.

    Let’s just park the poor execution, unappealling flowers and funeral black background for a second and concentrate on the strategy.

    If you want to appeal to men to buy their loved ones flowers the strategy is very simple.

    The way to a woman’s heart is through flowers.

    Not try to make the flowers masculine and blend fishing rods and computer wires through them.

    Rather take the bold step and be humourous and tongue in cheek with the approach.

    Like…how to play cards with the boys tonight…how to get the best dinner you’ve ever had…how to get the best blow job you’ve ever had etc etc etc.

    Listen CR the strategy is bang on. Flower shops are confusing as F! for men. They only buy flowers cause they know chicks like them. The whole point of the ads is to say – we are men friendly. We can hook you up with the right amount of flowers depending on what you want to achieve.’
    We picked fishing and surfing for these ads. Not sure if a blow job one would work in this liberal UAE enviroment.
    Re the visual, making it masculine is the whole point. Thats the target market.
    But hey, i could be wrong. I happens on an hourly basis.
    So show me the error of my ways. Execute that bold, humourous, tongue in cheek approach you’re talking about.

    Peter, I like alot of what you do and if you read my comments on the sound studio ad you did with the crane you’ll see it was very complementary.

    But IMHO this one doesn’t smell as rosey (If you’ll pardon the pun)
