personally i feel this was a missed opportunity. for me these ambients are first thoughts

  • Nisreen Shahin

Very nice …… i think its really cool

  • Vegas

    Excellent

  • Creative rules

    What was missed Quick Comment?

These appeared in carparks of supermarkets where shopping carts are left in the way of cars trying to park.

Nothing could be more relevant. LOL

That’s what makes this so good.

If you want to make meaningless comments about missed opportunities back it up with something better.

  • quickcomment

creative rules is back! quiet in the creaive department eh?

Ok i will back it up, it is such a first thought.
What happens when you dont have a rear end camera, errrrr… you bump into something and what do alot of people bump into in Dubai?? errr…shopping trolleys in car parks! yes! lets do that!
bash up 2 trolleys, put them in, take a picture of one of the creatives in a baseball cap looking all confused and bingo.
Too easy and too fake, no shopping mall would let you do that for a start but thats another story.
Think of something more unusual for using your rear view camera, like looking at a pair of girls legs? i dont know im not going to sit here and brainstorm. Im just saying its too easy and lazy to just show a broken trolley.

  • Creative rules

First of all you could easily get a supermarket to agree to this. They don’t want to see their trolleys smashed into and if you pay them a tidy sum none of them would knock you back. So no problem there.

Secondly my guess is this idea only appeared in a supermarket car park where trolleys are strewn all over the place. So it’s totally relevant. (Not a pair of girls legs which, as you know, is totally inappropriate here)

Great solution and I’d be surprised if it doesn’t win a Lynx next year. Nice one TBWA.

BTW. More often than not the best ideas are the first.

    Cheers

a seond rate creative will always like second rate creative work.
    no suprise there.
You give this brief to TBWA paris and they would come up with something completly creative

  • Creative Rules

A third rate creative can never recognize decent work when they see it and they always aspire to some other hotshop instead of coming up with a real creative solution themselves. (Girl’s legs what a joke) But then you’re a failed suit, client and creative aren’t you. LOL

So Peter Vegas and Nisreen Shahin are second rate creative people are they mate.

You really are a fucking moron aren’t you.

  • quickcomment

thats fresh coming from new zealander who can only get a job in amman, jordan.

Youre the top of your game in amman because the advertising market is practically non existence, you couldnt even get a job in dubai nevermind europe or your own country for that matter and if you did you would only get a junior position. I have seen interns in europe with better ideas than yours but in amman youre a big man.

I dont even know who peter vegas is or Nisreen but i havent seen their work in the d&ad book or cannes recently so in a way, yes they are second rate creatives. (no offense peter & nisreen)

Now back to the work, this ambient is 5/10 but its so obvious!
Who in here understands what im saying? Doesnt anyone else find this literal??
Think of something completly different, you are pointing out the obvious, everyone knows that you have your rear camera so you dont bump into something, it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.
    Does anyone in here agree??

  • Creative Rules

    No.

Look above 3 out of 4 don’t agree with you at all.

BTW If you knew anything about the world of advertsing you’d know the ME is a hotbed for creatives to move here. Why? Because (Unlike the US and Europe) there is virtually no research and the clients are willing to take risks. It’s boring working in these markets for that reason. I know of several highly awarded creatives who have moved here and love it. I personally knocked back several ‘senior’ jobs back home to come here. The tax is two thirds less, the work is great and it’s a great life experience. No regrets whatsoever. (Plus FYI I constantly get approached for jobs in Dubai but much prefer the client list and the climate.)

And yes there is alot of brilliant work done in Europe by interns but most of it is for pretend clients with easy open briefs and most of the work is irrelevant and not done for the real world. Plus they have no cultural restrictions.

But let’s look at just a few of your dumb comments so far over the past few months. First you insult everyone by saying Adblogarabia is not a site for ‘REAL” creatives (why you constantly comment here is beyond me) then you say several creatives are second rate, (no offence intended LOL) then you say the Jordan advertsiing market is practically non exsistent.(You should know that’s not true as you live and work up the road.) Mate, you have zero credibilty here so take your phony alias and fuck off to where the ‘real’ creatives hangout. LOL

Coming back from cityscape, i see that things are back to themselves. Although I dont agree with anything you said here quickcomment, I love the continued efforts of creative rules to solidify his BS consipiracy theory once again and i quote “you should know as you live and work up the road”…

But, I wont get into that…I think the concept is good, but lets remember that the rear view camera is the evolution of bumper sensors which is the evolution of just looking in the rear view mirror or turning your head, so its a “luxury”…and any of the pre rear view mirror would avoid smashing up a shopping cart, so maybe there could have been another solution…WHATEVER…it’s good, could be better in my personal opinion…

  • http://www.adsinjordan.com amre husseini – AKA BITEME

Just thought of another thing…usually people park head first, especially in crowded malls or shopping center parking lots (a) its easier to squeeze in (2) they can access their trunk with more ease so isn’t there a possibility that the only people who would see this are those that already have rear view cameras :)

  • Dozero

I missed you guys! ;) and i agree with Quickcomment, it is not the best idea there. if this was a supermarket’s car park, people are familiar with smashed trolleys. Nothing new here! and i agree with creative rules this will win a lynx as they gave it to recycled ideas as usual.

  • Creative Rules

Where was this idea recycled from?

    Please show us.

  • quickcomment

oh yeah creative rules, i believe you, im sure youre beating top ad agencies away with a stick.

    nice work…keep it up.

  • Creative rules

No one gives a rat’s arse what you believe Dumb Comment.

The fact is you’ve never stepped outside of Jordan and wouldn’t have a clue what happens out there. FYI D&AD isn’t a childhood syndrome and Cannes is not something you get chic peas out of. LOL

  • ansaihi

    nice ambient!
and the link sent by Quickmoment is can’t apply as alternative for those ambient. sorry but it’s just a nice and effective ad.
    peace.

  • Vegas

hey Creative Rules, are you from NZ?

  • Creative rules

Are you also an All Black fan?

  • Vegas

    Kin oath mate

  • Creative rules

Otago born and bred but Sydney is my home town.

    And you?

Loved watching the AB’s demolishing Australia and retain the Trinations and Bledisloe. Very very satisfying indeed. But the real highlight was beating the Boks in Capetown and keeping them scoreless. LOL

  • Vegas

True. The boks are the only team i like to see us beat morethan OZ, but off to Hong Kong in two weeks to watch the AB’s do it to Oz all over again.
    That’ll be a cool match.

  • Creative Rules

The problem is it’s a dead rubber. Pity we had to win the Bled in Brisbane as this HK test would’ve been a sizzler.

Still I look forward to us demolishing every home nation again. Is there a good place to watch the games in Abu Dhabi?

  • Gibbo

dammit. just what we need here.

    2 sheep shaggers.

are you sure you both arent the same person? peter peter?

  • creative rules

    Fuck Chain Dragger!

Looked inside the cabinet at the ARU lately?

    IT”S BARE.

The only thing there is a pork sandwich made by Mrs O’Neil.

    LOL

So where are you from Vegas?
