I think advertising is way back in jordan !

  • fadi

    Excellent I love it..

  • http://http//:4pointsize.blogspot.com santhu

    A for Apple, haaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • Kaz

    Cliche… overdone… zzzzzzzzzz

  • http://www.ragejoadv.com restless

    ok,
1- its bad bad photography and retouching
2- the concept here is so primitive and over used (not cleaver)

sorry prisma, these are not good enough but better than the Customs campaign i guess

  • fadi

restless, what do you buy?? can we see something you did?

  • fadi

wht’s up raje? so you are against all ads in jordan, can we see your creative ads.. god d*mn on your f*ce..

  • ziad

thanks all for comments, even if some are miserable, but i want to clarify the following:
photography is great especially the light effects and zoom, retouching is also good enough to deliver the message..

concept is not used b4, at least we didn’t see any thing like it, and for jordan market i think this is an award version, lets meet there guys and see :)

    A big Thanks Zeid Nasser

  • http://www.ragejoadv.com restless

Fadi let me clarify some points to you my friend,
    1- its RAGE not RAJE
2- I am not against all ads in Jordan , some are good (I like the new Nabeel campaign) (I like al Ghad campaign) as you can see in my blog I only post meaningless ads.

    Thanks ..

  • fadi

OK, RAJE, how do you evaluate the meaningless from the not?? for me, Nabeel campaign is not amazing and alghad is stupid.. :)

  • moody

Nice photos.. Good job, for me its 9/10

  • nabil

wawww, it seems there was a fight here between rage and fadi, let me share..
About the concept its used before but in different ways, somthing like big apple and small… etc
For the artdirection and implementation & layout I think they are perfect..
Finally, Well Done, and I think there is a smell of Award..

  • Jammo

You couldnt get a message so clean and clear as this. Simply Good work!

  • http://www.ragejoadv.com restless

no fights :) its just sharing opinions

anyway the concept is extra over used specially when it’s the first idea that pops up first you start thinking, for me that’s enough to drop the whole concept + there is nothing so special about it !!! and still this is the worst art direction ever
1- the pine trees are too green and the over all composition is not appealing
2- On the long pine tree there is a weird shadow!! (it could be Godzilla standing next to it :)
3- Both ads don’t motivate me as investor to go and invest in the Jordanian market, where’s the benefit? Am I going to grow bigger so I become a freak!!!

People go and visit http://www.adsoftheworld.com ,,,, lest raise the standers specially when we judge on something and say “award wining ad ”
I really don’t know how this one could win any awards
iam sorry to say that but this is the truth

    Thanks ..

  • ziad

Thx restless.. :) your opinion is much valued, I’ve seen your blog and I understood your altitude..

You know guys,in this world we have such sick people who only know how to critisize and always don’t know how to do the work or what is the solution.. Our Friend here is one of them..

Can we see anything you’ve designed Mr. RESTLESS and lets learn some creativity??

  • http://www.ragejoadv.com restless

    Dear zaid,
Am I sick because of my professional opinions ? Its really disappointment to hear that from you
Anyway CRITICIZING BAD ADVERTISING IS PART OF THE SOLUTION,, Have you ever heard of a Jordanian campaign won Cannes lions ?
I am not a design guru but I have:
1- More than 6 years of experience working with international agencies inside and out side Jordan
2- I graduated from al yarmook university /2000
3- Advance Graphic design courses in Canberra university Australia /2002
4- I am now studying photography in the academy of art san Francisco
5- My work won many IAA awards

  • Zeid Nasser (Admin)

Actually, they’re called the Jordan Advertising Awards, organized by ArabAd & MediaScope …. endorsed by the IAA

And, not every agency or every designer can produce ‘award winning work’ everyday.

Clients sometimes dictate what you produce, and I have not met a designer who isn’t unhappy with some the work he/she has been forced to produce.

  • http://www.ragejoadv.com restless

yes you are right its the Jordan advertising awards and yes its for agencies not for individuals actually my work (design wise) won but for sure the agency that i worked for has the credit because at the end its not one man work,

  • ziad hamdan

Restless thanks for listing your achievements, Guys, from now on we have a big refrence in Jordan called RAGE..

Frankly i don’t give a sh*d to all what you listed, nowadays, your work is your identity and not your TRAINING courses.. I know people studied in Europe, Usa, and etc.. and don’t know how to design a small ad..

    This Conversation is Over.

  • fadi

    HA HA HA..

    RAJE IS IGNORAMUS

  • http://www.ragejoadv.com restless

ziad hamdan calm down man :)
this is my opinion and we live in free country

TALENT is the main factor here but it should be polished by good education and experience :)

    thanks for all :)

  • Zeid Nasser (Admin)

So, this conversation is over? Really … can’t it go on more?

I was pleased to see that this post has now joined the Top 5 Most Commented Posts on AdBlogArabia, almost as many as the Haifa Wehbe TV commercial …..

now that’s quite an achievement :)

  • Kaz

wow i seem to have missed all the action..
honestly guys these ads are not worth fighting over…
ziad you created them so you’re obviously gonna defend them till the end, but dude, learn to take a little critisism.. it’ll do wonders for you and your ads… Resteless i am actually with you on everything u’ve said but u can be a bigger person here… and finally…. if the jordan advertising awards are anything like the AAA in egypt which is also part of the IAA, then they suck big time…. it’s all political bullshit to please the agency heads who are sponsoring the event anyway so they have to win…. i can honestly see this set of ads “smelling” that award but don’t expect any respect for it….
    thats my 2 cents….
    salam

  • ziad

    waw waw waw

Look guys, we @ prisma advertising and me a part of it are BIGGER BIGGER than any one who wants to critisize for just critisizing.. After brainstorming and doing the job with a group of specialized creatives and mdia planners and marketing heads.. etc and come up with a such job, come MR. NOBODY to critisize in an un-logical way to just say : IM HERE ON EARTH..
Come on guys and be BIGGER in your critisizing and Me and we always learned to accept the other side of view, if it was abstract and honestly said..

    THANKS AGAIN :)

1- why the sun flower is longer although its in the same field with the others? lets say that the USAID is the field they ALL should be benefiting from the resources (so the idea does not serve the client nicely)

2- its too easy to take for e.g. an egg with a bunch of lots of other eggs and scale it to be bigger in the visual..

    the most important questions are,

-does the ad make any sense
    -does it look good
-does it sell the product or better doest it serve the product
-is it original, or out of the box

I think to call an ad (an award winning) is a very tricky something.. we have to ask the right questions pals!!!

  • Kaz

Ziad… take the stick out of your ass….

  • http://www.ragejoadv.com restless

Zaid how old are you man :} ??

  • ziad

Hi, Actually I’m observing some aspersions here..
For me the ads are clever, eyecatching and well done, delivering – (for me) and tell me zaid if im wrong – the following message:
    1. Jordanian financial / economic or stock market is growing better than other markets..
So, the ads for me are simple, well don, clear and clever, and definatly don’t need an explanation this kind of ads i called the 2 seconds analysing ads. I mean look, read the line and get the message..
But, For me, I would remove the unclear text bellow the headline..

Well done zaid and don’t listen to them…
    ha ha ha

This Adv i can called it “irregular Adv.” and thats for the following reasons:
1- U have to get a great idea to indicate the greatness of your adv.
2- Dont use the irregular logic, specifically, when u r using a photo from the nature.
3- when i c the huge tree or the huge flower that lets me only say: “whats is the ugly tree thats iam looking to”. :’)

Finally, here we r talking about class F adv. so, we dont need to talk alot about this kind of adv.
    I am with u Restless, u r the best here :’).
