This ad gives the word ” creativity” a whole different meaning.

Yes!!! Country one side is dark?? (Hotel Sheraton side)???

  • Adverblogger

Well the whole country knows that Sheraton has no lights since its under renovation…. too bad you did not realise it but anyways coming back to the Ad… please consider the message it wants to convey and to whom it wants to convey and understand the depth in the copy. For me as an Ad enthusiast and a regular surfer to Adblogarabia it’s a different Ad from the regular social awareness Ads, which is more copy led, so will get into your system once you read the entire copy. I think it’s a great Ad.

Why is this ad here? How is it any good? Who gave you guys the right to inflict us with this kind of rubbish? Which one of you guys saw this as an ad? Ok, too many questions first thing in the morning…

  • Zeid Nasser (Admin)

Vikram, first of all, it’s not a bad ad…. but more importantly, AdBlogArabia posts “the good, the bad and the ugly”.

We want to start a conversation, and exchange views on what works and what doesn’t… to accurately relfect ‘Arabia’, you must incude ALL LEVELS of work.

The ad for supporting physcally handicapped for Bank Dhofar has been created and crafted very carefully to touch your inner emotions. The use of black and white image itself gives it a very sombre feel to denote of what use is colors to a blind person. At the same time through its copy, the latent feeling of Pride in a blind person comes out – that only he is able to read in the dark (which a person with normal eyesight wouldn’t). Its creativity of the highest order aimed at evolved audience. Unfortunately thats what is missing in this part of the globe…

Channi..that’s a real cool social awareness ad. As I can see from the ads that get published on this site, including this one, I think the standards of advertising have risen up in gulf.
