Dubai Lynx 2010 winners announced, O&M Dubai Agency of The Year

In a glittering gala ceremony, the Dubai Lynx winners were announced on the evening of Wednesday 17th of March, 2010, at an event attended by over 1,000 guests at the Dubai Media City Paladium. Agency of The Year award went to Ogilvy & Mather Dubai, with TBWA\Raad as 1st runner-up and JWT Dubai as 2nd runner-up. Media Agency of the Year went to Starcom Mediavest Dubai, with OMD Dubai as 1st Runner and Leo Burnett Beirut as 2nd Runner-up. Network of The Year award went to JWT, with Memac O&M as 1st runner-up and Y&R as 2nd runner-up.

Dubai Lynx attracts 1364 entries and over 1000 delegates

A total of 1364 entries from 16 countries have been submitted to this year’s Dubai International Advertising Festival, which kicks-off on Sunday. Dubai Lynx is the largest awards show celebrating creative excellence in MENA’s advertising and communications industry and the Festival will be attended by over 1000 delegates this year.

Entries have been submitted in 10 categories: TV/Cinema (159 entries), Print (300), Outdoor (233), Direct & Sales Promotion (94), Media (230), Radio (50), Interactive (83), Integrated (39), and the new TV/Cinema Craft (35) and Print Craft (141) categories. The entries will be judged by top international industry experts who will convene in Dubai at the weekend.

The top country participating is the UAE with 847 entries, followed by Lebanon with 142, Egypt on 124 entries, Saudi Arabia with 66 and Kuwait with 57.

Biggest win so far for Middle East at Cannes, FP7 Doha shines with two Gold Lions

More than 10,000 delegates took part in Cannes Lions this year, making 2008 the biggest festival to date. The big news for our region is that Fortune Promoseven Doha have made history by becoming the first agency to win two Gold Lions at Cannes for “Medal of Honour”.
