    Has nothing to do with painting.
    Instead, putting some actual paintings and applying headlines and class information on ‘em could’ve been cooler and way straight to the point.

    moe fara, i disagree. You are targeting creative people here, a straightforward poster would bore people to death.
    You are not talking to your “average” person.
    You have to able to speak to your target in their language.

    Well dear QC, if you are showing what you are not selling, you’re only wasting time and energy then, if not also ur money.
    Anyways, I think I didn’t make myself clearer earlier. I think I should’ve said: “..putting some interesting and creative paintings and..” instead :D

    People are not scared to paint, they are just lazy. Or the facilities are not there. For me to drive all the way to Al Qoz to the studio is too much of a headache. I AM NOT SCARED OF BLANK CANVAS. I AM JUST LAZY.

    Maybe it would be better if you give me incentive to come. Remember that adidas ad, the guy is lazy and teh couch will not let him get out of the house. Did they show that road and the grass take the shape of monster?

    Wrong startegy and no insight. Looks good but that won’t take me to Jam Jar.

    Oh, and the copy is bad, doesn’t make sense.

    Personally I think it would (1) capture attention of the passer by (2) achieve easy recall for the brand. Whether the call for action is strong enough and will generate a reaction is something else.

    Works for me… :-)

    The job of an ad is NOT just to catch attention but to convey a message. I could show a 3 eyed girl on the poster and catch attention and say “Buy Rolls Royce”.

    Remember David Ogilvy said ‘we sell or else’.
