    :) loved it

when I zoomed in on it though I noticed that in the distant horizon there is shadow of a ship (top left corner), dont know if that is meant or not…

Amre, if I’m ever stuck in a life boat I want you with me on look out.
So that would be you, me, pamela anderson, Fergie, and a wizard who can make beer out of sea water

    Stupid

  • shakemo

Mr Veags, you got room for one more in that life boat you talk about? I can bring the sausage rolls. Righto.

  • Dozero

Sorry, but the execution is weak. i like the copy though.
I think you will be missed because of the crowed not for being the only one in the ocean.

Vegas, with my luck the wizard would get all the action:)

Jump in Shakemo. You can sit by Pamela.
Use the shade cast by her ample bosoms to shield you from the suns harsh rays.

Amre Husseini-AKA BITEME said “Loved it…when I zoomed in on it though I noticed that in the distant horizon there is shadow of a ship (top left corner), dont know if that is meant or not…”

As weak as the idea is the ship in the distance IS the idea. Hence the line ‘Don’t risk being missed”

How can you ‘love it’ if you weren’t sure if the distant ship was meant to be in the ad or not? What then were you ‘loving’ about the ad? LOL

  • restless

    hahahaha thats funny

  • restless

from my side, the idea is not that great and the execution is Ugly and soooo artificial

i realy wish if i can work on this job,,, very interesting client

Creative rules…I dont think the concept is the ship in the distance, because I’m quite confident you didnt see it either…I think the concept is just as simple as being lost at sea.

If the distant ship was there or wasnt there they are still lost at sea, the angle of the photo drives it more towards being missed from the sky by a search plane.

Rather than critic my critic just stick to talking about the ad, thank you…

    Vegas, you rock :)

  • jayson

    cool! i interesting idea..
but i prefer without the ship on the fake horizon (IMO) :)

  • Vegas

team, I’m sorry to break it to you and i know that for those of you in the life boat it is not the news you want to hear. But… there is no ship. Never was a ship. No ship of any kind.
With that in mind we may be forced to drink own urine when we run out of water. ON the positive side I hear business men in Japan pay big bucks to drink other peoples urine. Maybe we could swap. I dont want to drink Pammys though. It will be full of Hep C medication and coke.

    Thanks for the clarification Vegas…

Creative Rules, I dont even need to say it do I ;)

Peter, I assume this is a stock picture. (If not can you give us details on who shot it and where?) So assuming it was a stock picture you obviuosly didn’t shoot the shot. Therefore you had no control over wether there was a ship in the picture or not. So how can you say there is no ship. Never was a ship of any kind if you weren’t there??? There is clearly a ship on the horizon that’s why the photographer or art director specifically made the sky clearer on the top left to highlight it.

    Painfully obvious to me.

Cheers and good luck on being spotted. BTW I hope your wizard can turn it into an Italian Peroni. By far the best beer in the world.

  • jayson

i also think that there’s a silhouette of a ship beyond the horizon.
my bad, maybe it’s only my vivid imagination :D
    anyway, i like the concept!

  • Creative Rules

To be honest Peter (knowing how you always like to put an idea into your work) I naturally assumed that you chose this shot ‘because’ the ship missed the life raft. Without it the idea is alot weaker.

Anyway, as I said, you can’t verify a picture you didn’t shoot as we can all make our own judgement because it’s a stock shot.

    Suh?

  • Vegas

CR please, buddy, let it go. There is no ship. Look at the little blob you guys are fixating on you’ll see it is too high to be on the horizon, thats casue its a cloud bro.

And I’m at a loss to see how you think the idea is a lot weaker without the imaginary ‘cloud ship’
‘Bite me’ was spot on with the comment that the angle of the shot communicates that the raft is being seen from a rescue plane.
Now can everyone put away their arse periscopes and go do some ads. I myself have an award winning fridge magnet to work on.

  • Creative rules

It’s obviously a friggin ship and there’s no way it’s a cloud for chrissakes. It’s not too high as it’s sitting right on the horizon. Blow it up and look for yourself. That’s why there’s a clearing in the sky because they wanted to highlight the ship. That’s the idea that the creator wanted in the shot you bought from Getty or whoever. You bought an idea without even knowing you bought an idea. LOL

As I said you were’nt there when the shot was taken Peter so how the hell would you know if there was a ship there or not? It’s a stock shot so we can all be the judge of this not just you.

I agree with you on one thing though… there’s enough said on this and time to move on.

    Cheers mate.
