    Lovely concept but poorly executed.

The choice of background, lighting, size and placement of both the headline and logo (smaller and more discreet) could have been far better.

for once i agree wirh CR, that is the most awful art direction i have ever seen and the scary part is that 3 artdirectors worked on it!

I think the line / font size is large because this is taken from the 4×3 outdoor they did….LOVED IT!

    amre, this is bad.
This should have been taken extreme close up with lots of shadows and moody light to make the petal look like a wedding dress. The way it in some park with bad shadows and terrible photography is just pure lazy. The fact that there is no photographer on the credit should have been a sign that this was done internally with some stock shot and a holiday digital camera.

Dont agree at all…LB’s work on exotica has always been some of my favorite stuff around the region. You dont need to make it look like a wedding dress…obviously all of us saw it as a wedding dress. Some of the best TVC’s in the world have been shot on a hand held camcorder, even if it was shot on a digital camera, I luv it…their message came across loud and clear to me…

yeah but youre talking about tvcs here, some things need to be shot on hand held cameras to give the effect of rawness and reality.
What is so raw and REAL about an upside down flower looking like a wedding dress??
if you like it fine thats youre taste but dont try to convince us that this was done to look like crap on purpose.

Didnt say it was done to look like crap on purpose. I said even if it was shot on a digital camera I luv it. the whole concept of the ad is for “an upside down flower to look like a wedding dress” and it delivers that without the need for all these close up details you are talking about.

Actually not trying to convince you, you addressed me to start, all I was justifying was the use of a large font size. Relax…

Why does everyone on this blog have a chip on their shoulder. You guys are all amazing, you’re the greatest critics the best creatives and all that stuff, but I dont think the purpose here is to convince anyone of any thing, its just to share thoughts…
