Took me a couple seconds, but what a really insightful ad!
    Nice.

  • vinit

Yup nice… but I wonder how many will get the message!

  • restless

    still didn’t get it :)

  • Magnetic

Smart one but difficult to get, what if they were separated by syllables?
    gra, vi, ty
    wrin, kles

  • M Jacob

    @Beirut,

Precisely. You illustrated the point. There’s something there that holds lots of potential. Perhaps someone thought the original idea was too strong and, the idea got diluted as a result. Just a theory on what may have happened.

    me too didn’t get this

  • Ibraheem Youssef

To everyone who didn’t get it:

When used in any sentence, comma’s are meant to break it’s flow, interrupt it a bit, pause it for a while, delay the next phrase a bit.

In the case of these ads, the comma’s are delaying the word gravity & wrinkles from being read right away.

    Capiche? ;)

  • kre8tive

    LOL @ Ibraheem Youssef

  • kre8tive

Honestly… they could’ve created something out of the OLAYish approach.

  • moe fara

im trying to read this $*!&

maybe its my iq n maybe its the incredible iq of people who made this ad

  • jayson

creative people doesn’t get it immediately, how about the “not-so-creative-people”, i mean the target market… do you have to explain your ad to them?

  • http://www.fuckoff.com moe fara

jayson, that could be very brilliant! an explanatory note besides or inside these ads :D DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD))))))))))))))))))))))

  • http://www.fuckoff.com moe fara

Im just trying to sound ridiculous cuz that would be terrible ofcorse :)

  • kre8tive

@Jayson, creative people don’t get it immediately? Maybe they’re not creatives at all? A comma is a pause, even a middle schooler would get it.. You’re talking about creatives who smoke pot, I guess :)

  • http://advertista.net Advertista

I like the simplicity, leaves an impression on your mind regardless if you understand it or not.

  • jayson

    @ Kre8tive,
yeah, I got the message of the ad, but not on the first glance… or maybe I’m not that creative or just too much pot? ;)

I read the word in simple and straight forward manner like an ordinary word > gravity / wrinkles, before I noticed that there’s an special purpose of commas in every letter… so why not add another space after the comma so that everyone can read it as g, r, a, v, i, t, y…

    hope that clears… :)

  • kre8tive

@ Jayson, I agree with you there. I guess the guys who did this overlooked the typos, geez!… Maybe they’re the ones smoking pot! :)

At first i m inclined to think the agency guys are on pot.But then I realise that its the advertiser’s team t( approving the agency work) that’s full of duds.Such ads may get awards (but this one shud defntely not get it) or get talked about (this one will be laughed at) but they dont make sales.Too bad because Kaya is actually good services & decent products but the advertising and branding is a liitle too wannabe, trying to appeal to ubber audiences.tch tch!!

  • http://- jinal

Kaya makes rubbish ads.not surprising since the products and services are not great either. The advertisers were on too much pot I think.
