the idea is a bit good, there is no clear connection and the jacket looks too cheap because of photoshop skills.

NIce Louai, you cant even respond originally. You have to copy someone else’s quote. If anyone else had posted this ad of David wearing clothes you would have posted the link showing ads that have already done the same thing and launched into your tired rant about the standard of ads in the ME. Careful of all those rocks my friend. This is a very big glass house.
Bt rather than cop out with an irrelevant quote explain to us why it was ok for you to use an idea that has been done.
We await your wise words.

Here are some Q&A for the person who created this and who claims to be the rightful defender of vice & virtue in advertising.
- Did you shoot the statue? of course not, so you used stock photography. (which is a very normal thing to do, yet you always seem to object to that.)
- Did it run? of course not, so you are a scammer.
- Do you have a copywriter? of course not, “let it cool” is not a headline or a slogan.
- Do you have common sense? of course not, because if the statue is cold it would be wearing shoes, pants, socks etc… along with the jacket.
- Do you have taste? of course not, judging by the jacket choice.
- Is it an original idea? of course not, as fellow commentators have provided a link that shoes the usage of the statue as a cliche.
- is it copied? Dunno, and will never know, and I don’t think it matters if it was, since you have much bigger problems with it.

LOUAI: Is let it cool the slogan / tagline or is it the ad header?
14. Louai Alasfahani | November 12th, 2009 at 11:43 am
“Let it cool” it is the company slogan.

This is really Embarrasing for Paragon.
17. Louai Alasfahani | November 14th, 2009 at 5:40 pm
Yes it is really embarrassing for Paragon to among self proclaimed creative directors who can not see the obvious difference between an idea and its execution. what a shame what the market has become and what ignorant arrogant individuals are misleading others to believe out of their own spit.
18. amre husseini - AKA BITEME | November 14th, 2009 at 7:50 pm
Dear Louai: Not getting into an argument or anything, but you must admit that you have labelled other work as copy cat for much less and in all fairness, this work isn’t impressive…but that’s just an opinion based on the way I judge advertising
19. restless | November 14th, 2009 at 9:25 pm
sorry no offense, what idea and which execution you are talking about?!!! come on! ,,, all of us are ignorant because we believe that the ad above is meaningless !!!

Warning: this link contains materials not suitable for the thick OR blind nor for the thick AND blind (http://bloganubis.com/2009/11/13/david-and-goliath/

22. Bart Gomez | November 15th, 2009 at 3:41 pm
Sir Louai, sorry but no offense…
I think your agency just copy the idea of the two ads(based from the link that you provide) who wears shirts. Your agency(or whoever creative behind it) just change the said shirt and add the slogan then BAM!! then they flaunt it assuming that they got the original.
Common, I expect better than that from Paragon…
btw, thanks for the link, now we know much better who are creative and who are those just making noise and trying-hard-to-be called creative.
cheers!
23. YALLA 123 | November 16th, 2009 at 2:14 am
Louai,
I don’t get this at all. You defend your agency’s work to the death then provide us with a link that clearly shows that your agency’s ad above is a direct rip off of the Argentinan Spanish restaurant.
Why would you do this????
24. Louai Alasfahani | November 16th, 2009 at 3:27 pm
in comment number 20…didn’t you read the warning?!!!!
“Warning: this link contains materials not suitable for the thick OR blind nor for the thick AND blind”.
After explaining (in full detail) the clear difference between an idea and its execution, which of the two categories do you fall under? the thick and blind or the thick and blind? perhaps we should ad a third category – Ignorance with Arrogance.
Peace. no more comments for the ill minded and no more wasting time trying to open the eyes of the blind copycats. Enjoy your littleness.
25. Too much CSI and Dexter | November 16th, 2009 at 4:01 pm
Louai, we’ve been trying to drill the idea into your head for the past few years that sometimes even though two visuals might be similar they could have completely different ideas but you chose to ignore us and still label them as copycats. You proudly published your picture and name in different publications hailing yourself the self proclaimed copycat finder while we all stood baffled at how blind or thick you were sometimes.
But the issue today is that you’ve produced a number of ads recently that under your rule which you created would be considered copycats yet you say they aren’t. How is that just? We’re all too thick and blind now but you’re not? I guess when you make the rules you can change them but don’t be surprised by everyone’s reaction here.
Someone should send the two layouts to Arab Ad and Campaign. Maybe also the Fasttelco and iCity layouts.
26. YALLA 123 | November 16th, 2009 at 5:30 pm
I feel truly sorry for your creative director and his creative department.
You are clearly an absolute moron.
27. YALLA 123 | November 16th, 2009 at 5:33 pm
Just so we’re clear…I’m talking about Louai here…. not Too much CSI and dexter.
28. YALLA 123 | November 17th, 2009 at 12:31 pm
Louai , you and Amre should get together and start a new agency.
Dumb and dumber.
29. Louai's conscience | November 17th, 2009 at 1:53 pm
After reading Louai’s comments here I think he should be in PR. He is the king of spin.
30. YALLA 123 | November 17th, 2009 at 2:55 pm
Husseini Alasfahani.
Got a nice ring to it aint it?
Like I said Dumb and Dumber.
31. amre husseini - AKA BITEME | November 18th, 2009 at 12:19 am
PS didnt Zeid Nasser shut you up already? You are really starting to embarrass yourself, NOW you’re not only sending out insults, you’re seconding your own comments too???
32. YALLA 123 | November 18th, 2009 at 8:08 am
Go to Zeid’s very nice comments in point #14 on the Zakati thread above.
33. YALLA 123 | November 18th, 2009 at 8:17 am
As you can see (contrary to what you’re saying) very welcoming.
34. YALLA 123 | November 18th, 2009 at 7:24 pm
Anyway,
LOUAI ALASFAHANI,
PLEASE EXPLAIN ONCE AND FOR ALL WHY YOU WOULD PUT UP ADS THAT YOUR AGENCY RIPPED OFF ON A PUBLIC FORUM????????
SURELY YOU’RE NOT THAT DENSE?????
HELL MAYBE YOU ARE.
