Done for aisacs in south america, check awards annuals. Will anyone learn in this region, honestly.

Think before you scam. Otherwise you just look really, really, really stupid.

  • quick comment

im going to comment even though i am pretending it wasnt done before.
Why in hell did they do a white version? Why cant people just do a one off ad?

the black one made more sense because it looked like an xray, the white one ruined it.

Who cares anyways, it was done in south america.

LOL, restless. Neeraj is probably the client too.

  • quick comment

@Louai, i just commented on bloganubis, sorry i dont think they copied that ad, have a look at what i wrote.

  • http://www.publicisgraphics.com.jo amre husseini – AKA BITEME

Hi guys… just checked the copy on bloganubis and I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say I don’t think its a copy of that ad at all. Just because two brands are using a visualization of a spine doesn’t mean its a copy.

Also restless and quick comment…haven’t you guys ever come up with a concept, written the headline and done the artwork? Wouldn’t that make you creative director, art director and copywriter?

Yes there have been a lot of scams in this region and we’ve woken up to them more and more, but lets not take it tooooo far sa7?

  • restless

yes it happens, but this doesn’t mean that this is the perfect scenario to create outstanding ad ! (knowing that nothing is perfect),

many of the most successful award wining campaigns were done by proper cooperation between a good CD/AD/CW

to create an outstanding ad needs so much effect form different barite’s to make sure that the idea, and the exectuion are up to the stabders

    the idea is nice
    the line is nice
but the art direction is not good

  • restless

Please disregard the last 5 lines ,,, sent by mistake!

    thanks

  • Louai’s conscience

Louai Alasfahani is such a hyp*cr*te. The two spine ads he is showing are completely unrelated. Unlike the ad he did using that lame tired old idea of superman to communicate speed. Now that was a cliche that has been done to death.
Take a look at your own drab work Louai. You aren’t qualified to comment on jack.

  • John W

I like this ad and I don’t think its a copy of the other spine ad. If you check Louai’s post on the xtray head you would understand what he sees as a copy. louai doesn’t look at the concept, he looks at the visual. So if two ads use a car then they are copying each other, if two different ads use a cake, its a copy etc.. Very first level thinking.

We should really cut down on the negativity and appreciate good work when we see it.

Louai’s conscience: Just leave the guy alone, we’ve all seen his work and understand why he gets upset when he see’s good work. No need to get personal with him.

this one is tagged class room to show that tow similarly presented objects represent two different ideas and messages http://bloganubis.com/2009/09/14/supermarket/

and then there is another example of a similar execution but with a different idea behind it which is tagged Uncategorized http://bloganubis.com/2009/09/13/brain-work/

and finally there is a clear example tagged copycat http://bloganubis.com/2009/09/14/star-wars-the-return-of-the-copycats/

and then there is another example tagged brand hijacking http://bloganubis.com/2009/09/14/smoke-less/

so in all fairness read the tag which the post is under and you will know under which category it actually falls since blog Anubis covers much more than just copycats, but you already know that,

an important point for all of you to take into concediration before throwing accusiations, did any of you notice that the in this post is tagged Cliche’ on blog Anubis and not tagged Copycat? for those who are unfamiliar with word Cliche’ here is the definition: A cliché (from French, klɪ’ʃe) is a phrase, expression, or idea that has been overused to the point of losing its intended force or novelty, especially when at some time it was considered distinctively forceful or novel. – Wikipedia.

  • http://www.bloganubis.com Louai Alasfahani

I have just added some extra examples that qualify some of the additions to be also considered under the tag copycat ;) enjoy.

  • Louai’s conscience

an important point to note Louai is that your use of the superman logo was also cliche, tired, old and overused, hence the ‘accusation’ that you are in no position to critique other peoples work.

  • John W

Someone needs to put up a website of Louai’s cliche work.

  • John W

Never mind found it, someone already put one up http://www.paragonmc.com/

Couldn’t have said it better myself.
