5 reasons why this ad is a scam:
1. PS3 attitude.com? why is dubai doing an ad for a website that doesn’t have anything to do for dubai?
2. It’s begening of the award season, last minute push.
3. Using top photographer for a website that is not top. The agency paid from the pocket.
4. This is not agencies client, neither is PS2. In fact the website never advertised.
5. This is against the middle east and culture. You can’t destroy god’s body.
5 reason why this is a bad idea
1. what is he trying to do? give his heart for the game?
2. what is the message?
3. why a drunk homeless guy having money for PS3, is he the target
4. what is the strategy?
5. bad photoshop.

Great ad Sascha, James. Congratulations. You guys are the best. We need executions like these in the middle east. This will win Grand Prix in Cannes. I wish I had done this ad.

CD: boys, we should do some award winning ideas, lynx is next month.
Junior Creatives: Yes boss, lets do a PSP ad. It always wins.
CD: But he is not our client.
Juniors: Boss, we will do for a website and make it looklike it is PSP ad..
CD: Where will we publish?
Junior: In my school news letters.
Junior: Boss, can we get a raise, now that we are so good.

An ad done for the sole purpose of entering an award show is a scam, unless you are value adding to an existing big client like P&G, Unilever etc.
But who are we to judge scam or real. This ad is BAD Creative.
Honestly, this ad doesn’t make any sense.
What is the message?
The website is called PS Addict, so the message is get addicted ? Clap, Clap, Clap. You don’t n need to be highly paid creative to come up with that.
Is the guy in the ad addicted?
If he was, then at least there was a logic. But honestly I don’t know what he is doing.
He looks bored, his eyes rolled up like a retard, he is clutching a heart. What does that mean?
An addict takes out his heart?
Where is the benefit of the product ‘the website’?
Why those tattoos? Ok, i get it, he is a PS addict and they should have tattoos as all those cool TBWA Paris ad has.
Why a homeless shelter?
To make it look dark?
If this is the best you can come up for a PS ad, then David Ogilvy must be shifting in his grave.

If this is an award-driven ad as many here mentioned, then it’s a shame that after all what happened in Dubai Lynx last year few have learned the lesson and they are willing to practice the same behavior again.
