nice idea! If you make them smaller but retained the layout with lots of white space and using recycle materials – then, you’re saving… BUT if you make them smaller and printed with lots of solid color from non-biodegradable ink – then, you’re not saving! (IMO)

Full Color Business Cards are so inexpensive these its almost due to fierce competition and gang run print jobs its not even funny. We can print 1000 full color business cards with high gloss uv lamination on cs 2 cardstock for 125 bucks shipped to your door CONUS.

Being eco friendly is fine and using recycled paper will help. These days many business cards are made of high gloss coating that may not break down in recycling as easy as regular paper stock.
