  • Quick Comment

Hey Admin, when are you loading the Jordanian awards? Cant wait to have a laugh. Cant even imagine what thats like

  • restless

    amazing campaign! ,,

    Hi Zaid,
you don’t have to upload all of them, only what do you think is the best .. yalla we are waiting.

  • http://www.publicisgraphics.com.jo amre husseini – AKA BITEME

    Zeid don’t do it… ;-)

Okay I would just love to know how they produced this work. I mean getting a sticker that would actually be so water resistant not to peel off and make the product shot look like hell…

    Conceptually, loved it though.

  • http://www.ziadhdn.blogspot.com ziad hamdan

amre why publicis didn’t participate in JAA 2009, it was really boring without you, AGA thought themselves competitors to Y&R and played the number 2 role ?!!, LOL, they won an award for a stolen ad. from our agency as well

  • restless

The JAA should have new standards especially when it comes to choosing the winners, during the years i have seen many stupid ads coming out from big agencies wining gold and silver!!! thats why i don’t really believe in the JAA ,,, i wonder if there was any improvement this year!?

  • AH

Yes Zeid lets see what and who the winners are.Definetly. If this is a blog about advertising in Jordan you HAVE TO put these up for review. I don’t understand why BITEME #6. Says don’t do it? And Zaid is now asking why you didn’t participate? Why not? Don’t you want the rest of the world to see the winners BITEME?

Restless, I’m surprised you don’t care for the JAA in the thread below under Tejwali with Mobily you say this in #9

“during my time in Jordan my work won many awards in the Jordan adverting awards 2005 & 2007…” Sounds like you were proud of them.

    You guys are funny.

  • AH

CCO, ECD, CD, 2 writers, 2 art directors. OMG as soon as there’s a nice piece of work everybody wants to get in on the act. The egos in that place must be unbelievable. typical of Lebanon.

The problem is who do you congratulate on the work?

  • http://mediame.com Zeid Nasser (Admin)

Dear AdBlogArabians … thx again for keeping the conversation here lively as usual.

I have some ‘official’ answers :)

First of all, this blog is not about advertising in Jordan. Clearly, the name is AdBlogArabia, most of the published work is from the Gulf.

Second of all, typically, the JAA winning ads are published in ArabAd first, as they are the publishing partner for the event. This time, we were considering publishing these ads online before ArabAd, but it seems we won’t be doing so.

Finally, soon, at some point after ArabAd publishes the winning ads, several of them will appear on AdBlogArabia and other sites.

  • AH

    Zeid Nasser,

For some strange bizzare reason BITEME didn’t want you to show these ads. You have to ask why???? This is the same person (apparently) who has not participated in the event. What do you think he is afraid of and what is he hiding????? Was his work not good enough and is he seriously afraid of not doing well??? (hell it’s just the JAA FFS.)

The right answer gets 2 free tickets to the 2010 JAAwards.

Come on…. come on take a punt.

  • http://www.ziadhdn.blogspot.com ziad hamdan

so what AH represents Y&R ? btw there is no 2010 JAA, next round will be in 2011

  • eh

AH enough talking about JAA.. u can start to post ur awards instead of rubbish wards.

  • http://www.publicisgraphics.com.jo amre husseini – AKA BITEME

AH…not hiding anything at all. You can come see a credentials presentation at the Lion’s Den any day you want, Ahlan Wa Sahlan and you’ll soon be able to go through an entire interactive experience on http://www.publicisgraphics.com.jo which is being created by Madison Digital (PLUG)…

Afraid…just about as afraid as you are (AH) to reveal your true identity my friend…

Why shouldn’t Zeid put the winners up, because quite simply it will turn to a free for all; the same way it did two years ago; when people around the world were blogging about our blogging.

Shout out to my friend CREATIVE RULES (and that’s not sarcastic I think before he left Jordan we did at least clear the air). I’m sure he is doing well in Southeast Asia or where ever he is.

  • http://www.publicisgraphics.com.jo amre husseini – AKA BITEME

Ziad Hamdan you made me laugh so hard with that comment “It was so boring with out you” were we that entertaining or was it because we’re a bunch of trouble makers ;-)

Sorry man, not going to talk about why we didn’t participate and more importantly I want to take this opportunity to thank Zeid Nasser for inviting me and my wife to attend as his guests; unfortunately we were out of town.

  • YALLA 123

I’ve been following this thread now for the past few days and I can’t stand back anymore. It’s very important that everybody on this great site deserves to know the truth.

Sorry Mr Husseini but the more you try to justify it the more it sounds like a bad case of sour grapes and a deep rooted fear of coming in, yet again, behind TeamY&R.

I for one would love to see Zeid put up all the winners up because there was some very good work done and it reflects the true standard of the only decent work done in Jordan for the past 2 years. FYI Another Y&R record was broken with 49 awards including 19 gold. (They get better with every JAA)
AGA (who, along with Grey, were the only other true competitor and had the courage of their conviction with enough good work to enter) came in a worthy second place with 12 golds so congratulations to them.

So I agree with Restless, AH and everyone else on this forum. Zeid why wait for Arab ads to show us the winners when this is the right place to review and see them. (Adblogarabia is based here after all) And frankly I don’t care what you all say when we eventually see them because they were judged by very good credible judges as the only best work done in Jordan for 2007/8/9.

    YALLA bring it on!!!!!!!!!

Creative Rules where are you? This is your opportunity to really stick it in to your dear and close friend Amre.

  • http://www.funnypromos.com Funny Promos Blogger

This is pretty hilarious… do people actually lean in that close to the sink just to see the text on the ad, though? You never know what might really be stuck in the drain!

  • AH

I think you’ll find FunnyPromosBlogger (Jezuz that’s a long username) that this is a scam ad that the entire team at Leo Burnett Beruit dreamt up because they’re so bored and haven’t much else to do and can’t sell decent work to their real clients You have to understand that the Lebs will do anything to fuel their enormous egos. They talk the talk but can’t walk the walk.

YALLA123 good post. I’d also love to see the work from JAA. Did you mean what you said about Mr Huseini and his thing about Y&R? That’s weird.I looked at the work on the Jordan section of this site and saw some good work on some road safety campaign from them. I like BITEME but I genuinely feel sorry for Nathan Ross (CD at Publicis) and his department. His art director Rami whatshisname did a good job of putting that stuff together. Are they allowed to comment here on Adblogarabia BITEME
Just the old curious cat coming out again.

  • http://www.publicisgraphics.com.jo amre husseini – AKA BITEME

Rami Qaddoumi is an Associate Creative Director not Art Director and they are definitely allowed to comment here. Actually I always send them and their entire creative department links when PG’s name or work comes up

  • http://www.publicisgraphics.com.jo amre husseini – AKA BITEME

One more thing AH, for about 3 months we had a facebook page up that asked the question should PG participate in the awards and all our clients and team members were asked to comment on their opinions so need to feel sorry for anyone, because we made our decision based on the majority opinion

  • YALLA 123

WTF does that tell everybody? Obviously they were all scared knowing they’d lose again.

  • http://www.publicisgraphics.com.jo amre husseini – AKA BITEME

    Obviously…especially our clients

  • http://www.publicisgraphics.com.jo amre husseini – AKA BITEME

Also obviously about as scared as you are to tell us who you really are ;-)

  • YALLA 123

If you need to know who people are on this site before they have to comment you’ll have to ask 99% of all the posters here because 99% are anonymous. What? Sorry I’m not accepting your comment because I don’t know who you are? Even you know that’s ridiculous.

    But you’re avoiding my comment:

What does that tell everybody about your clients, creative department and agency? Obviously they were all knew they’d lose yet again because they all knew they didn’t have the work to compete. But you already knew that didn’t you Mr Husseini. That’s why you started the facebook survey in the first place.

  • http://www.publicisgraphics.com.jo amre husseini – AKA BITEME

YALLA go get a job why dont you…1 2 3 Disappear

  • YALLA123

You’d really like that wouldn’t you Mr Husseini.

  • YALLA 123

You’d really really like that wouldn’t you Mr Husseini.

  • http://www.publicisgraphics.com.jo amre husseini – AKA BITEME

Yes I really really would like that or else I wouldn’t have said it.

But as a compromise, at least tell us who you are, I mean you seem to know so much; it’s shame you can’t introduce us to the true name behind all this wisdom…

    YALLA 1 2 3 we all know you’re a MARCOMM genius…so out with it.

  • YALLA 123

Nah… it’s far more fun being in your bright red face.

  • YALLA 123

Actually enough of this nonsense… I’ve said all I want to say… so now everyone knows the real reason why you didn’t participate in the JAA so goodbye and good luck Mr Husseini.

  • http://www.publicisgraphics.com.jo amre husseini – AKA BITEME

    Have a safe trip

  • YALLA 123

Just so we’re all perfectly clear here.

That real reason being that you didn’t have the balls or the work to participate.

    Adios

  • http://www.publicisgraphics.com.jo amre husseini – AKA BITEME

An anonymous blogger questions the size of balls while he refuses to share his true identity or his capabilities. Like I said, have a safe flight.

  • http://www.funnypromos.com Funny Promos Blogger

Not sure if I’d want to stare down the sink in a public bathroom, but I guess as long as they choose clean places to put the ads it would work…
