This is trying sooooooo hard to be cool and hip it’s in fact the opposite. You just want to puke. What! She’ll only communicate with him if he’s successful and famous? They would be better off and more realistic showing him losing in something and she still loves him for who he is not on what he’s done.

    Crap.

Soft drinks advertising strategy in the middle east:

    1. find out who the most popular celebrities are
    2. sign multiple million dollar deals with them
    3. come up with a crappy campaign (the celebrity must be the hero)
    4. spend additional millions of dollars in media
    5. go back to number 1

@Magnetic wasn’t that the global strategy of soft drinks for the longest time? :-)

Personally don’t like Tamer Hosni, but my understanding is that a lot of teens (especially females) do…

A girl googles “Tamer Hosni” she gets distracted as he pops up, starts singing a ballad, she gets a phone call gets distracted again, he gets upset turns up the volume sets up a concert and gets loud…don’t get what the message is nor do I find it funny or memorable, but that’s just me.

Hey dont be so harsh, i think this ad will sell sh#t loads of pepsi to horny teenage girls.

  • restless

i wont buy Pepsi anymore. :)

  • Magnetic

I agree amre it was a global strategy and is still used partially, i shall assume you’ve seen recent global coke and pepsi ads, isn’t the target audience the same? but why in the ME the only approach used is celebrities and more celebrities!

and yes Quick comment, this strategy sells just because there are only two options available for the consumer and whoever spends more will get the bigger pie not because of the quality of their advertising,

when will those companies ever try a new creative approach because this is just becoming boring :D

You must admit though there have been some really nice soft drink ads, especially the humorous ones where they directly or indirectly slam each other….
