According to Forbes, Facebook is currently dominating the display ad market. It is expected to report display revenues of about $3.5 billion, and that amount is expected to rise to about $5.3 billion in 2012. Meanwhile, Google’s net display ad revenues totaled $1.5 billion in 2010 and that amount is expected to rise to merely $2.5 billion in 2012. However, Google will remain the internet’s largest advertising revenue generator. Its total revenues will amount to $35 billion, 90% of which come from Google’s search operations.
