Rich media ad units show significant performance lift over standard media

A new report from Jumtap has found that mobile advertising campaigns running with rich media advertising units, ads with which users can interact, have significantly higher click-through rates (CTR) than those with standard media. When compared to static banners, rich media goes beyond static displays to keep mobile users engaged.
 
Other results from the latest Jumptap MobileSTAT Report includes click-through rates by operating system; Apple’s iOS being the click-through leader with a 0.62 per cent click-through rate while BlackBerry comes in second with a 0.49 percent click-through rate followed by Android with a 0.42 percent rate.
 
By demographics, the highest click-through rates are for consumers between the ages of 45 and 74 years old.
