BBDO Worldwide crowned Network of the Year at Cannes for the 4th year in a row

For the fourth year in a row, BBDO Worldwide has driven its global network offices to the top; winning Network of the Year at the 57th International Advertising Festival in Cannes. The Network of the Year Award was first established in 2007 and BBDO Worldwide has won it every year since.

With work for more than 40 clients, 21 BBDO agencies from across every region came together to set another record of winning a total of 85 much coveted Lions that spanned all forms of communication from Cyber to Design, Direct, Film, Media, Outdoor, Press, Promotion, PR, Radio and Titanium/Integrated. BBDO was the top performer with a final tally which included 17 Gold, 24 Silver and 42 Bronze Lions, along with the Grand Prix for Print.

"In seminar after seminar at Cannes this year, senior players from some of the world's largest advertisers reiterated the need for great ideas in their businesses.  In the toughest of times, BBDO agencies have remained focused on what we believe in, the value of exceptional work.  It's how we add value to our clients' businesses.  That's why this recognition from our peers at Cannes is so important," said Andrew Robertson, President and CEO, BBDO Worldwide.

From the MENA region, Impact BBDO Dubai played a role in the network’s success and took home 1 Silver Lion in the Film category for its Mercedes-Benz “Emirates Take Off” campaign. Also at the festival, BBDO’s Brazilian agency Almap BBDO was named individual Agency of the Year and won the Grand Prix for a print ad it created for Billboard magazine.

In addition to Almap BBDO and Impact BBDO Dubai, other award-winning BBDO agencies included:  AIM Proximity, NZ, AMV BBDO London (which was named Direct Agency of the Year as well as the recipient of the first ever Grand Prix for Good), BBDO Chile, BBDO Dusseldorf, Germany, BBDO Guerrero in the Philippines, BBDO New York, BBDO India in Mumbai, BBDO Toronto, CP Proximity in Spain, Clemenger BBDO, Melbourne, CLM BBDO, Paris, Colenso BBDO, Auckland, Contapunto, Madrid, DLV BBDO in Italy, FHV BBDO in the Netherlands, Juniper Park, Toronto, Network BBDO, Johannesburg, Pages BBDO in the Dominican Republic and Tiempo BBDO in Spain.
