Kuwaiti Blogger Mark Makhoul is being sued by Benihana's franchise representative in Kuwait for writing a bad review on his popular blog 248am. Many people have since rallied in support of Mark and the right to freedom of speech, posting comments on his blog, posting on Benihana's Facebook reviews page and tweeting about it.

 

The Benihana representative has filed a lawsuit demanding compensation of $18,000.

 

Benihana Inc., owners of the franchise in North America, claim that the actions taken against the Mark were not from their company but from 'Benihana of Tokyo Inc' which owns franchises across the Middle East.
