According to David Butorac, chief executive of OSN, the television operator will grow its subscriber base by 34% this year, following recent piracy restrictions. "In 2011, the subscriber base of OSN will increase by 34 per cent," said Butorac. Butorac said OSN had noticed a rise in customers and a reduction in subscription cancellations since OSN launched an anti-piracy campaign last year. Signal piracy has cost the Middle Eastern pay- TV market an estimated $500m a year.
