Qatar Foundation Radio has recently launched its mobile application on both the iPhone and iPod devices. The newly introduced application, which can be downloaded free through Apple's App Store, will allow users to listen to the live streams of all QF radio programs along with other on-demand content including a gallery of the events covered by the Radio and the radio programming list.

It will also allow users to interact with the radio programs and presenters via social media including Facebook and Twitter without having to go through QF Radio website.

Saad al-Hudaifi, QF Radio Media Center Manager, said the application aimed to make its audience closer to what is going on as well as give a voice to them, especially in its live stream shows.

"We are very pleased to introduce this new application to our widening audience. It comes as part of delivering what is promise by QF radio to its listeners. It was a success launch since everyone in our team realized how highly it is demanded to make the QF radio streams available on smart devices like the iPhone and iPod," al-Hudaifi said.

Last month, QF Radio had unveiled exciting new live programming which included more interactive elements to encourage listeners to phone in to shows.

QF Radio aims to establish radio as an influential medium for broadcasting Qatar Foundation's core mission and values by:

1. Focus on youth and bright minds.

2. Promote Qatar Foundation and its values to the local and International Community across three core pillars: Education, Science and Research and Community Development.

3. Cover events in Qatar & globally / Technology, Business, Sports, Politics.
