FaceMash.com, the URL for the Facebook prototype Mark Zuckerberg built in his Harvard dorm room one October night in 2003, is now up for auction. The domain is currently listed for $8,000 and has attracted few bids.

 

The site attracts approximately 600 visitors per month, the auctioneer claims, though since the release of the movie "The Social Network," which mentions FaceMash, the site has received more than 1,000 hits per day.
