Ettihad Etisalat (Mobily), Saudi Arabia's leading mobile operator and Info2cell.com, the leading mobile application content and service provider in the Middle East, announced that they have developed the Al Hajj service, a new iPhone application.

The new application, which is being offered as the perfect companion for subscribers going on Hajj pilgrimage, provides users with reminders on duties to be performed, Islamic verses from the Holy Quran, and other important things to remember during their pilgrimage. The new service, which can be used by all iPhone users, is part of a series of applications being launched following the recently signed partnership between Info2cell.com and Mobily, which recently launched its developer community, a one stop shop that provides developers with all the resources needed to build mobile apps.

The new iPhone application is being made available to subscribers through the Apple Store. The Al Hajj application will provide users with reminders and information on essential duties to be performed during the pilgrimage; inspiring Islamic Verses from the Qur’an; prayers; Ahadeeth;  Anasheed (Islamic vocal music); Ayat; Islam based images; and prayer time alerts. The application also provides a detailed description of the whole journey including maps that show key locations and daily paths to be taken.
