CNN reports that according to the Web Index report spearheaded by Tim Berners-Lee; the inventer of the World Wide Web, Sweden ranks first as the country that best uses the Internet, followed by the United States. The report ranks 61 countries across seven categories: communications infrastructure, Web use, Web content and the political, social and economic impact of the Internet in those countries.
A smaller percentage of Americans are online, about three-quarters of American are Internet users, compared with about 90% of Sweden's population.
Qatar ranked 21st in the Web Index report, making it the top Arab country in terms of 'best Internet use'. Tunisia came in 30th, Jordan 35th, Egypt 39th, Morocco 50th and Yemen 61st.
