Viva is delighted to launch a range of exclusive new plans and services to accompany the release of the all-new Blackberry Bold 9900. The new plans will offer the best rates available on the local market and will cater to more Blackberry users than ever before. The rate for unlimited Blackberry service has now been reduced for new and existing postpaid customers.

For the first time in Bahrain, a social bundle for Blackberry is now available from Viva, aimed at customers whose smartphone usage is predominantly social networking.

The service allows users access to BBM and the social networking applications Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace, in addition to instant messaging tools MSN Messenger, AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger and Google Talk.

Moreover, Viva now offers its own application store for Blackberry, the first of its kind in Bahrain. Viva Blackberry users now have free access to a full-fledged app store offering both free and paid applications in 13 categories such as games, productivity, fitness and finance.

Users will not need to create an app store account and do not need a credit card to pay for apps, since the amount will be charged to their bills instead.

"This is a great way for us to keep bringing to the market the value and innovation that customers have come to expect of us," commented Ulaiyan Al Wetaid, Viva Acting CEO.

"The new packages and services are aimed at the growing needs of today's youth. The new Blackberry Bold 9900 is faster, more powerful and more elegant than ever, so we have upgraded our services to match," he added.

Customers who pre-booked their devices on the Viva website have now been contacted and informed of the device's availability.
