A comprehensive social media report on what works and doesn’t on Facebook, produced by Buddy Media, has shown that the keyword ‘dollars off’ in a retail offer provides the highest user engagement, where keywords such as, ‘save’, ‘deal’, %off’ and ‘bargain’ have lower than average rates, and even 30% lower in the case of the keyword ‘sale’.
According to Dan Zarrella, award-winning social media scientist at HubSpot and author of two O’Reilly Media books, keywords with highest user engagement include Facebook, why, world, how, health, bill, big, says, best, video, you, Apple, media, top, first and Obama.
