"The UAE's media sector is bullish about 2012," says Jason Moore, who organised the latest Media Mondays UAE networking event last week.

 

Approaching the 40 year UAE National day, close to 100 members of the country's media community, including Emirati Nationals and Expats, CEOs, business managers and freelancers, gathered at Saadiyat Golf Club in Abu Dhabi for a quarterly session aimed at generating business and developing pan-industry links.

 

"These networking sessions are really productive and often provide contacts and contracts that can't be delivered electronically or simply by sitting in the office," says Moore. "There were a lot of good vibes on Monday and the general consensus seems to be that our industry is looking forward to a positive 2012."

 

A CEO Club membership valued at AED7200 was won by Kelly Morriss, Sales & Marketing Manager, Abu Dhabi Armed Forces Officers Club. Kelly will present the award to the Director General, Saeed Al Daheri.

 

And the winner of the AED1800 luxury sculpture donated by locally owned Presotto furniture and art was Khairi Ahmed Al Shamsi.

 

There were also lucky winners for dinner for two at one of Saadiyat Beach Golf Club beautiful venues, dinner for two at one of Chinese Connection Restaurants in Dubai and Al Ain, and a professional photo shoot by Emirati National Saeed Al Ameri.

 

"Finally, we were grateful to have an attendance many Emirati and expat representatives from the following companies: TwoFour54, the Office of the Brand of Abu Dhabi (OBAD), Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH), NBAD, ADIA, ExxonMobil, Abu Dhabi Armed Forces Officer's Club, Emirates Public Relations Association, AmCham Abu Dhabi, and many more," says Moore.

 

"We were honored to have as our guest Operation Smile UAE, a charity which provides free surgeries to repair cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities for children around the globe."
