
It’s not every other day that a nation celebrates its 40th National Day, and du is leaving no stone unturned to celebrate 2nd December, 2011 – the 40th UAE National Day - in great style and flare, with its customers and employees!
From special offers for customers, to attractive competitions for customers and several employee-engagement activities, du has something for everything on this historic occasion.

A dedicated tab on the telecommunications company’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/du.and.friends, will include three exciting ways to win so that everyone has the opportunity to participate.
The social media competitions are now available on du’s Facebook page, inviting customers to submit a 40 second video about National Day, and providing them with a platform to demonstrate their patriotism. du is also distributing stickers to celebrate the 40thNational Day. Participants can place the sticker on their favourite belongings (cars, laptops, and so on) and post a picture of that on our Facebook page as well., Twitter users can also participate by using the hash-tag #UAE40. Every 40th tweet using this hash-tag will be published on du’s Facebook app feed – the best tweets will be picked on a daily basis to win a prize!
Avid social media fans can share their passions through the internet for the chance to win fabulous prizes from du, including Nintendo Wii, Sony Playstation 3, Xbox Kinetic and a Macbook Air.
National Day pride continues throughout all du Shops, which will be dressed for the occasion in red, white, green and black colours of the UAE National Flag from 1st-2ndDecember. Customers walking into the Shops through the balloon arches will be generously greeted with chocolates and Arabic coffee. Flags, ceiling decorations and window stickers will proclaim du’s national pride, while employees will proudly wear their Emiratised du badges as they hand out goodie bags to all customers, and face painters will entertain children in-store.
National pride and patriotism on this historic occasion is carried through to du’s employees, as the telecommunications company celebrates the UAE’s 40th National Day within its workplaces; all employees are invited to record a 40 second video to highlight the incredible achievements of the UAE over the past 40 years, with the chance to win exciting prizes.
