As the quartet of Sebastian Vettel, Mark Webber, Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton prepare to take the final battle for the 2010 F1 drivers championship to the Yas Marina Circuit this weekend, AD Sports is joining in the F1 mania with daily evening F1 shows - on it's free-to-air AD Sports 2 channel.
Abu Dhabi Media Company's Arabic AD Sports 2 channel will then become the F1 event channel for the MENA region from this Friday (12th November), with live and exclusive coverage of the practise sessions, qualifying rounds and all the action from the big race. Live and exclusive HD coverage in English is also available for AD Sport 6 subscribers - for details visit ADMCsport.com
"This will be a dramatic climax to the season. We have never seen this before. We have four drivers who could technically win the championship. We are very lucky to have this scenario in Abu Dhabi," said AD Sports Formula 1 commentator Ayman Abdel Wahed.
Ayman, who will be commenting on this weekend's big race, believes each of the four drivers in the running have a chance of taking home the title this weekend.
"If Sebastian Vettel comes first, Mark Webber second, and Fernando Alonso comes fifth, something amazing will happen. The three drivers will each have 256 points. It could be a very exciting finish. Then Lewis Hamilton also has an outside chance. It's a slim chance, but it's been a very unpredictable season so far, so you can't rule anything out."
"It is impossible to tell who will win the race," added AD Sports F1 analyst Khalil Beschir. "Alonso is the most experienced, but there are questions over how his engine will cope with hot weather. Vettel is defiantly the fastest, but then Webber has proved throughout the season that he is the smartest in earring the crucial points. Each is in with a chance."
In addition to practice session, qualifying and Grand Prix coverage; AD Sports 2 is bringing F1 fans closer to the race-weekend action than ever before, with exclusive interviews, all the behind-the-scenes action, expert trackside and studio analysis - as well as 360˚ trackside camera angles.
Ad Sports 2's extensive coverage in the build-up to this weekend's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will include a host of F1 documentary series programmes, including 'Grand Prix Story', 'Racing Through Time' and 'The Secret Life of Formula 1'. Features on Lewis Hamilton, Michael Schumacher and Artyon Senna, as well as biographies and 'Pit Story' story documentaries.
"AD Sports are giving Arabic viewers the best F1 coverage they've ever seen," said AD Sports presenter, Hamad Al Ibrahim. The young Emirati presenter - who will be trackside this weekend - has been travelling the world this year, presenting live from the F1 track for AD Sports.
"When people see me in the traditional dress they take interest and they want to talk to me. It's a great experience. Now, it's Abu Dhabi's chance to show viewers the Emirati culture first hand. The Yas track is very impressive. It's the perfect setting for what should be an incredible final race of the season," Hamad Al Ibrahim continued.
Formula One fans can watch all the action from the 2010 Formula One track on Abu Dhabi Media Company's free-to-air AD Sports 2 channel in Arabic, and also live and exclusive, high definition coverage in English for subscribers to AD Sports 6.
