Al-Madina, one of the most important publishing houses in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has launched its mobile site to extend the reach of Al-Madina newspaper using the 'Publish live' technology from KnowledgeView.

The project started in June 2009 and was completed in late March 2010. 'Rapid Browser', the news management and multi-publishing solution designed by KnowledgeView and implemented at Al-Madina, was behind the success of the move: one click is the distance between editing the item and publishing it on the mobile site.

Al-Madina newspaper content and another dedicated content for the mobile site are now available for iPhone and Blackberry users as well as all the Symbian devices like Nokia etc. The mobile site will automatically detect the device and the content will be shown with a perfect layout on respective devices.

Thanks to this enthusiastic move to online on mobile, every reader will be able to check videos and pictures or read texts and search the archive on m.al-madina.com! The SMS subscribers will be receiving news messages on their mobiles with respective link to the full article on the mobile site.

"KnowledgeView is always striving to offer the most innovative technologies to its clients that will help them achieve wider reach whilst generating revenues. We are living in an era where relevant content could be a rewarding commercial product. While Al-Madina is committed to provide its audience with a rich Arabic content, KnowledgeView is committed to provide Al Madina and media companies, enterprises and government bodies with the right platforms to multi publish to print, web, mobile and social networks. We have also aggressive technology growth plans with the new launch of native applications for the iPhone and iPad", Dr. Ali al Assam said, CEO, KnowledgeView.

After this upgrade, Al-madina will be even more benefiting from its newsroom capabilities and be ready to handle a better interactive communication with readers.
