On Demand Group (ODG) has completed a deal with Al Arabiya Cinema Production and Distribution to provide key high quality Arabic movies to U.A.E.-based integrated telecom service provider, Du. Now Du TV customers can enjoy an even wider choice of quality Arabic movies through Du's On Demand service whenever they want. On Demand features full DVD-like control to pause, fast forward or watch over again at the customer's own convenience.

The latest Al-Arabiya blockbusters available on the Du service include: 'Wahed Min Al Nas', 'Sahar El Layali' and 'Immaret Yacoubian'. A stream of other exciting titles, such as 'Zehaimer' and 'Al-Mosafer' will be added later this year.

"This deal adds significant diversity and breadth to our Arabic movie selection, positioned amongst the existing top Western and Asian movies, premium TV, music videos and kids programming. I am personally excited about our extended Arabic library and am confident about the appeal to our video on demand customers," said Farid Faraidooni, Chief Commercial Officer, Du.

Du's Video on Demand service, launched in 2009 has become the most successful video on demand service in the Middle East, and is managed in partnership with the London-based ODG, the leading Video on Demand and three-screen video enabler for premier content.

"We're very pleased to bring content from one of the Arab world's premier movie producers and aggregators to the Du's Video on Demand service. This deal further enhances the appeal of the service and will demonstrate the tremendous potential for on-demand TV services that offer the consumer full control, convenience and choice to watch their favourite programmes whenever they want," said Tony Kelly, CEO of ODG.
