Dubai TV, one of Dubai Media Incorporated channels, announced its relaunch with new make-over, new look, and new line up of programs, that will go on air for the first time on March 7, 2010.
The line up includes a number of new programs that combine culture, entertainment and new seasons of running shows that achieved success and wider viewership in previous grids.
In a press conference held on Wednesday morning, March 3, 2010 in studio (C), at DMI premises and attended by Najla Al Awadi, DMI's CEO of Channels Affairs,Omar Ghobash, Deputy Manager of Dubai TV, channels and program managers and a number of DMI channels' presenters, along with representatives of local and Arabic media.
Najla Al Awadi, DMI's CEO of Channels Affairs said that the relaunch of Dubai TV, is aiming to highlight the cultural, humanitarian, and economical renaissance of Dubai and other Emirates, towards the promotion of these achievements through a range of new programs without losing sight of the fact that Dubai is an ideal city for the convergence of all Arab cultures, creativity and humanity, with a clear focus on the younger age group that watches the programs of Dubai TV through results of statistical figures and studies conducted by professional bodies.
Ghobash, Deputy Manager of Dubai TV, spoke about the comprehensive changes in terms of programs, graphics, look & feel and on-air promos, with a clear focus on the younger age group, as resulted from the studies and statistics to combine fun and upscale family edutainment, while our working team succeeds in translating this vision into distinctive programs that meet the tastes of viewers of all categories, by seeking to keep up and cover the activities and events taking place in the United Arab Emirates.
He added, Dubai TV channel sought to provide youth programs aiming at disseminating knowledge and freedom of expression through thoughts and the development of cognitive human abilities in the Arab world and take advantage of these capabilities in creating a new generation of leaders capable of supporting the overall development efforts throughout the Arab world.
