Goumbook, the Middle East's first green business directory and only dedicated portal for environmental initiatives, today announced the release of its updated website, goumbook.com. The site, designed and developed by web-centric consulting firm Grafdom, offers visitors and listed members a range of tools covering the latest environmental news, directory listings, events, products and green jobs.

"In our efforts to further promote all things environmental in the Region, we are the first website with a section entirely dedicated to a Green Business Directory. This section specifically targets Green Companies as well as Responsible Consumers across all areas of the Green Economy and Environmental market place. The Directory is user-friendly offering both businesses and users a highly flexible and easy to use interface" said Randala Jishi Anabtawi, Co-Founder, Goumbook.

Grafdom worked in conjunction with the Goumbook team to develop the site's updated look and feel, with compelling graphics, clean navigational scheme and much more. Updating the website allowed the company to add service-oriented features that would not only enhance administrative operations but would also encourage seamless dialogue and communication for visitors.

"Goumbook.com is strategically positioned to lead the green movement in the MENA region as companies endorse more environmental measures to offset their emissions and sustain eco-friendly business practices. The site will continue to evolve with newer tools and green features as the brand develops and expands regionally." said Farid Gasim, Director of Operations, Grafdom.

The new portal currently hosts over 2,000 web pages and is capable of expanding further to include thousands more as the site's presence grows. Goumbook's pioneering vision has also enabled it to develop the region's first and only Green Map dedicated to include recycling centers, organic shops, green attractions, eco-friendly hotels and other environmental avenues.

With the new site, Grafdom aims to strengthen Goumbook's presence across all major social networks including Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, LinkedIn and drive web traffic to thousands of visitors a day.

"Goumbook's desire to create a new global community is focused on environmental responsibility, uniting environmental experts, organizations, businesses and consumers from the Middle East and North Africa: we all live on the same planet, and unlike almost any other movement, environmentalism is proving to be a worthy mutual goal, one truly transcending borders, cultures and people in the MENA region, the West and beyond. Preserving and protecting our planet may prove to be what actually links us together" added Tatiana Antonelli Abella, Co-Founder, Goumbook.
