Gulf companies 'tweeting up' faster than other regions

Gulf companies are flocking to Twitter and other social networking sites faster than their peers in other regions as they seek out new opportunities. Increasingly tech-savvy businesses are going online to find and keep customers like never before, business services firm Regus found after polling 17,000 bosses in 80 countries around the world.
 
Regus found that 62 per cent of the Gulf businesses questioned use sites like Twitter, facebook and LinkedIn,compared to a global average of 52 per cent - and half of the regional firms using the sites say they have been netting new business since setting up social media activity.
