'LIVE' announced that it is the official producer of the 2008 Middle East International Film Festival (MEIFF) in Abu Dhabi.
'LIVE', with its unique broadcast and production facilities, will cover the entire Festival, from opening and closing ceremonies, and everything in between. This includes fly-on-the-wall coverage of the stars, and all the happenings in the main auditorium, Red Carpet, Conference Room, and Media Center of MEIFF. The MEIFF will be the first entertainment event to be screened live using a unique fleet of HDTV outside broadcast (OB) vans.
Abdul Hadi Al-Sheikh, Managing Director of LIVE, said: ''LIVE' is pioneering a new era of broadcasting at the Middle East International Film Festival. 'LIVE', with its unique High Definition OB Vans, has world-class capabilities to produce international events to outstanding standards."
The event will be produced by advanced high definition technologies which are used for the first time in this region. 'LIVE' is the only Broadcast Facilities and Production Company, which has such a state-of-the-art fleet of OB Trucks.
Eissa Al Mazrouei, Project Director of the Middle East international Film Festival, says: "The world can now watch every detail of Abu Dhabi's premier film event in crystal quality, high-definition clarity. For the first time, all of the red carpet, star-studded action will fall under the international spotlight using HDTV. Film fans around the world can now watch 'LIVE''s coverage of the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as fly-on-the-wall coverage of the stars in between."
The production covers the entire event in the main auditorium, Red Carpet, Conference Room and Media Center of MEIFF.
'LIVE''s state-of-the-art fleet of HDTV OB vans are in use for the first time at the festival. Each van carries between eight and sixteen cameras. 'LIVE', with its unique High Definition OB Vans, has the capabilities to broadcast international events with outstanding standards.
'LIVE' is a member of Abu Dhabi Media Company, which is one of the largest media companies in the region.
