Rapid TV News has reported that News Corp’s deal with Rotana is now 99% complete and will take place in January. News Corp will own 10% of Rotana’s shares. The announcement also stated a $26.7 million distribution deal between Rotana Media Group and Walt Disney Co., giving Rotana the advantage of competing for regional viewers.

The deal’s status has been confirmed by Rotana Media Services' president, Nezar Nagro.

According to Nezar Nagro, the deal will allow Rotana to increase its share of TV by 10%.
