OMD, the media agency network, is staging its third OMD Predicts conference in Dubai, with the ambition of providing local marketers and communications specialists strategies to renew with growth.

To achieve this, it has brought together a line-up of international experts to discuss economic, consumer, media and advertising trends. The program is designed to highlight alternatives to traditional approaches and business models, which is encapsulated in the "Breaking Free" title.

Held on Monday June 28, at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel, more than 250 senior business, marketing and communications executives are expected to attend the event. The popular OMD Predicts event series is unique in the region as it focuses on emerging trends to help industry professionals future-proof their strategies. The high level of interaction between the audience and the speakers makes it a particularly enriching experience.

This year's speaker line-up comprises regional and international thoughtleaders, including Dimitri Metaxas, Regional Executive Director - Digital from Omnicom Media Group MENA; Economist Intelligent Unit editor/economist Robert Powell; Jody Turner, a trend forecaster and founder of Culture of Future and Peter Kirwan, Media Editor of Wired UK.

"At OMD, we believe our investment in knowledge brings results for all the parties in our industry," commented Elie Khouri, CEO of Omnicom Media Group MENA. "The OMD Predicts series have proven to be a key differentiator for our clients and ourselves. It has shaped the way our clients communicate and has achieved a must-attend status for industry professionals in the region."

"OMD Predicts elevates the talk," explained Shadi Kandil, managing director of OMD UAE. "Through it, OMD creates a new, richer conversation that addresses the strategic concerns of our clients. We remain resolutely focused on providing them and our teams, as well as the industry at large, with the best knowledge and know-how to capitalize on opportunities to grow."

More than a conference, the event is a conversation that will stretch beyond the walls of the venue, as it will harness the power of Twitter and social media to stimulate the debate during and after the sessions.

The by-invitation only event is sponsored by Rotana Media Services, MediaquestCorp and The Economist Group, three organizations who share OMD's ambition to promote best-practice and knowledge sharing to raise the bar in the communications industry.
