Qatar’s ad spend rises 11% in 2009

The Peninsula reports that despite the global financial downturn, advertising spend rose 11 per cent in Qatar last year compared to 2008. The market survey conducted by IPSOS has shown that ad spend figures climbed from $212 million in 2008 to $235 million last year. Banks and financial institutions remained top advertisers, followed by the telecommunication service providers, automobile dealers and real estate firms.
