This ad worth’s being highlighted in this corner of mediaME, the idea is clever but controversial at the same time, especially it was created by an agency in Saudi Arabia. The ad features a veiled woman, which is common in Saudi Arabia, only she is wearing wool instead of the regular fabric used. The idea is nice, it clearly communicates the power of the product, but no one can tell if it had a negative impact on the audience.
The ad was created by The Classic Partnership Advertising in Riyadh for their client Admiral, and the message was so clear "Air-Conditioners made for the Middle East", ACs so powerful and cold to the limit that you will need to wear wool in the middle of the summer, in the Middle East.

Responsible and accountable for:
All external marketing communication (Catalogue, brochures, TV, radio, newspapers, PR, IKEA Family magazine, Website etc)

Main tasks
* You strive to reach the IKEA positioning objectives.
* Your main areas of responsibility are: * Market research & market analysis, Store communication (on an overall level), IKEA catalogue, Advertising, Public relations, Direct marketing, IKEA website &Translations.
* You ensure that clear market goals and marketing goals are set, communicated and followed up for the IKEA retail organization as a whole and for the respective stores.
* You are responsible for implementing a marketing strategy agreed upon in the IKEA retail organization and for following up the IKEA positioning objectives.
*You ensure that the in-store and external marketing and marketing communication are in line with IKEA Concept Documentation.
*You should contribute to the establishment of a multi-year business plan with regards to your main areas of responsibility.
Minimum 5 years General retailing experience, Home furniture experiences is preferable
Must have done a complete marketing plan (strategy, brief, plan, follow-up, both long and short term).
Must have made an analysis of the market situation to evaluate the strategy
Strong communication, visual and interpersonal skills.
Must have worked through the whole marketing mix (store, catalogue, external marketing communication and public relations)
Must have worked within or with different local agencies (media, creative, public relations or internet).
Must have proven visual ability with the development of a complete campaign (strategy, brief, layout, planning, and follow-up)
Must have worked with media planning by using different kinds of media (television, print, radio and billboards)
Must have superior writing skills, be open-minded and communicative by having done press conferences, discussions with journalists and having experience with crisis management.
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
