According to research by Marin Software, mobile will contribute 25% of total paid-search ad clicks by the end of 2012. This will have increased significantly, up from 12% in 2011. According to Marin Software, more consumers on mobile devices continue to click through ads at a higher rate when compared with desktop clicks. The study found that device adoption and consumer behavior are the leading factors contributing to the change.

Facebook recently revealed its newest ad placement opportunity, the logout page. However, the new advertising option comes with a hefty price tag. The digital billboard space is rumored to require a minimum daily ad spend of $710,000. Logout page placement alone costs $160,000 per day, but the option to advertise on this space is only available to advertisers who spend $550,000 per day or more on 'News Feed' ads.
