Cartoon Network Arabic channel announced today the launch of 'Creative Generation Competition 2012,' designed to promote environmental and health awareness for students. The competition is to encourage students from ages 4 to 12 to indulge in their imagination and creativity, promoting a healthy vibrant environment.

The National has reported that Turner Broadcasting System, operator of CNN and Cartoon Network, will be opening its offices in Dubai in the fourth quarter of this year, at about the same time it will start broadcasting its new free-to-air Cartoon Network Arabic channel. Turner Broadcasting may be launching a local production centre that will aim at boosting Arabic-language content creation.
