ArabNet, the largest gathering for the Arab web/mobile industry taking place next week in Beirut, has announced the finalists and runners-up from around the region for the forums’ annual competitions; the Ideathon and the Startup Demo.

Taking place on March 22, the Developer Day, which will be taking place during the ArabNet Shift Digital Summit from March 22-25, will include programming case studies, tutorials and in-depth workshops conducted by engineers from top regional and global companies. Some of the topics to be discussed will include developing mobile apps for different platforms like Google's Android, open source hardware, hacking the Microsoft Kinect, agile development, user interface design and user experience. Attendees will also have the opportunity to take part in an exciting OneHourHack, to compete against each other and develop applications to grow the Arabic web.
