Job Description
ASDA’A Burson-Marsteller, the Middle East’s premier public relations consultancy, is looking for a Media Relations Manager.
The selected candidate will be required to:
Manage the Agency’s media relations department, working closely with all Agency departments to promote the business reputation of clients, by developing and maintaining effective working relationships with local and regional media.
Manage the press office on behalf of the clients and represent the clients in the face of the media
Plan and oversee execution of media activities and events, such as press conferences, roundtables, desk visits and interviews.
Devise and develop effective strategies to address current and potential issues which may impact the clients’ image in the short, medium and longer-term.

Skills
Mandatory Skills and Experience:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent command of the Arabic language and solid proficiency in the English language.
• Solid understanding of the local Jordanian media scene.
• Minimum of 3 years work experience, with 1 year being in the field of marketing, advertising, PR, media or journalism.
• Must hold a Bachelor degree.
• Must own a car as the job entails a high level of time spent outside the office.
Additional Skills and Experience:
• Experience in media relations is a plus.
• Background in PR, media and/or journalism is preferable.
• Experience in other areas of communication, such as marketing and advertising is a plus.

According to industry executives, the regional PR and digital media sectors are expected to grow this year. The Dubai International Film Festival 2010 (DIFF) has selected leading advertising firm Leo Burnett to roll out its marketing campaign for the seventh edition of the festival to be held from December 12 to 19, 2010.
