The Role
The Assistant Marketing Manager will be responsible for the following:
Developing & implementing business driven marketing plans to:
- Increase revenue growt
- Enhance brand equity
- Deliver Marketing services cost effectively
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for the following:
* Building a premium client entertainment programme
* Planning and executing key business events and sponsorships
* Creating sustained client communications and advertising campaigns
* Driving awards submissions and polls strategies across the business
* Developing and managing a business driven marketing budget for MENAP
* Managing the regions’ marketing operations within budget
* Ensuring marketing plan adherence by working with the business and managing suppliers
The successful candidate will have:
* A Marketing, communications or general management qualification – undergraduate
* A high level of personal communication skills including excellent English speaking & writing skills
Previous experience:
* At least 4 years local marketing experience in financial services
* Experience in successfully managing events
* Successful execution of Marketing strategy/implementation of detailed plans
* Exposure to senior management

The Role
Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate (AFGRE) is the real estate development and operations arm of Al-Futtaim group which is headquartered in Dubai. AFGRE is responsible for the origination, conception, development, procurement and construction of mega projects and the leasing, sales and operation of these projects after completion.
In addition, AFGRE develops and operates an extensive multi-million dollar portfolio of individual corporate real estate and investment assets across the MENA region.
The two current flagship mixed use urban communities under the Festival City brand are the award winning, Dubai Festival City (5.2 million square metres) and Cairo Festival City (3 million square metres).
About Al-Futtaim Real Estate
AFRE offers comprehensive services from selection of site and feasibility studies to construction and property management. The range of properties administered and leased in the UAE includes warehouses, showrooms, workshops, offices, villas and apartment buildings. In keeping with the economic growth of the United Arab Emirates and Dubai, it is envisaged that Al-Futtaim Real Estate will concentrate its efforts and resources towards the development of prestigious real estate complexes to supplement the growing demand for commercial and residential properties.An excellent opportunity has arisen Assistant Marketing Managerآ to assist the Senior Marketing Manager in all aspects of marketing, from developing annual strategies to rolling out and evaluating success of individual promotion / campaign with the objective of achieving the business aimآ which is toآ promote the Retail Centre of DFC as a prime shopping and entertainment destination in the region.
Main Responsibilities of the role will include the preparation and processing of the following categories:
Marketing Budgets:
Assist the Senior Marketing Manager in planning a Marketing budget ensuring all costs related to execution of mall activities and promotions are accounted for, and subject to approval by the management, assist in the achievement of budget by tracking expenses, support strategies for increasing revenues through traditional/ non traditional sources of income, and maintain relevant accounting records so as to monitor and control variances.
Marketing Plan:
Based on approved budgets, assist the Senior Marketing Manager in developing the strategy for a 'stand out' marketing campaign aimed at maximizing mall customer visitation, loyalty and spends within the region. Develop individual marketing and PR strategies that would be part of the overall marketing plan however will aim at targeted audiences. Build up additional strategies for growing brand exposure without increasing revenues; develop crucial partnerships within the retail, business and government communities in order to add onto the traditional and approved marketing plan. Position the brand as a strong member of the community through these.
Implementation of Marketing Plan:
Conduct promotions and activities as per the agreed marketing calendar under the supervision of the Senior marketing manager, right from inception to completion, with or without assistance from third parties, ensuring adherence to allocated budgets and track performance through feedback forms to measure effectiveness of the campaign.
Marketing Communications:
Ensure the briefing of agency, development and preparation of marketing communications, such as: آ promotional campaign communications (ATL, BTL, direct), newsletters, signage, and in mall branding as per guidelines and standards specified by the Senior Marketing Manager to achieve marketing objectives and ensure that the mall stands out in the retail landscape of the region.
Market Study:
Assist the Senior Marketing Manager in carrying out of Market research activities with the objective of developing marketing strategies to effectively match competitor's activities, attract targeted retailers and brands, identify market trends, and thus ensure that all marketing objectives are backed by qualitative market information.
Public Relation and Advertising:
Work with the PR Manager to assist the Sr. Marketing Manager in developing and implementing an effective PR and advertising strategy to get maximum possible mileage for the mall/ shopping centre via press releases and coverage of mall events and activities.
E- Marketing:
Regularly update and manage the information regarding the brand on the company website, so as to provide accurate and current information to visitors to the site, as well as responsible for implementing all e-marketing strategies.
Tenant Relationship:
Proactively build relationships with the tenants with the objective of providing support in maximizing their business revenues through the usage of retail merchandising units and other mall marketing and promotion activities as well ensure that the retailers adhere to standards relating of merchandising as visualized by the mall management team.
Reports:
Prepare regular to various aspects of marketing, such weekly report, monthly report, results and analysis of activities (Post activities report) etc, with the objective of providing management with the necessary information to make decisions relating to short term and long term business strategies.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have the following skills and experience - * Bachelor Degree in Marketing / Business or related field * Digital and online activation awareness * Minimum ofآ 5-7 years in a marketing or business related discipline in retail marketing * Proven experience in customer and market research * Experience working with external agencies, events, PR and advertising * Excellent communication skills
