Leo Burnett Middle East was recently named the Agency of the Year by Campaign ME, in the publication’s first ever roll-out of the title. The Humankind Agency was chosen based upon a number of measurable factors that set it apart, in a year that was far from the best for the industry.

Following one of the biggest pitches of the past 12 months, Qtel has awarded Leo Burnett its integrated creative account. Campaign ME reported that the account will cover both the company's corporate and consumer services. The agency is to provide communication management, strategic brand planning, creative development, 360° implementation and digital capabilities for Qtel.

The UAE's federal railway operator, Etihad Rail has invited advertising agencies for a pitch for its creative advertising business, Campaign ME has reported.

The Beirut-based telecom provider Alpha, has reappointed Leo Burnett to handle its media portfolio after Y&R abandoned the account. According to Campaign ME, Y&R has been awarded the mobile operator's business in July last year following a competitive pitch, but has resigned after less than seven months for unknown reasons.

Campaign ME reports that TBWA\RAAD has won Dubai Shopping Festival’s (DSF) advertising account following a competitive pitch. During the pitch process, Ahmed Tageldeen, consultant – strategic marketing communications, CEO Division, Dubai Events and promotions Establishment, had said: “What we’re looking for is an integrated agency that can take on the lead creative for the mainstream campaign and translate that across some of the key touch points for our customers.”
