Cartoon Network Arabic channel announced today the launch of 'Creative Generation Competition 2012,' designed to promote environmental and health awareness for students. The competition is to encourage students from ages 4 to 12 to indulge in their imagination and creativity, promoting a healthy vibrant environment.

Twofour54 tadreeb, the media training academy, has acquired the Dubai business of the SAE Institute, the world's largest network of media training academies. As part of the deal, Twofour54 tadreeb has also entered into a long term co-operation agreement, which will enable it to access the Institute's internationally accredited Diploma and Bachelor Degree programmes.


Turner Broadcasting to boost Arabic TV content

The National has reported that Turner Broadcasting System, operator of CNN and Cartoon Network, will be opening its offices in Dubai in the fourth quarter of this year, at about the same time it will start broadcasting its new free-to-air Cartoon Network Arabic channel. Turner Broadcasting may be launching a local production centre that will aim at boosting Arabic-language content creation. The company also plans to open a dedicated animation training academy at Abu Dhabi’s media production facility twofour54.


Rubicon Group inks deal with Turner Broadcasting

The National has reported that Turner Broadcasting, a unit of the US media conglomerate Time Warner, has signed a partnership deal with the Jordan-based production company Rubicon Group to broadcast around the world children’s television shows produced in the Middle East. The partnership is aimed at taking great content from this region and showing it around the world.
