Next Issue Media, a group of publishers that includes Condé Nast, Hearst, Meredith, Time Inc. and News Corporation, has announced the release of their all-inclusive magazine tablet application, which will include 32 magazines like The New Yorker, Time, Vanity Fair, Better Homes and Gardens, Elle, Esquire, Wired, Fortune, People, Real Simple and Sports Illustrated. After more than two years of preparation, the group of publishers is ready to release the app, which gives readers the chance to purchase all their magazines for a monthly rate.

Conde Nast plans to give advertisers tablet readership reports about 10 weeks after their digital issues come out. The report will include many statistics including the magazine's paid tablet subscriptions and single-copy sales during the reporting period, the number of readers that actually opened the issue's tablet edition, as well as the total number of times that readers opened them and spent time reading.

Conde Nast plans entry to UAE with titles and cafés

The National reports that the US-based publisher of established magazines covering fashion, technology, food, and travel, including The New Yorker, Vogue, and Wired, Conde Nast, is planning to increase the presence of regional editions of titles such as Vogue and GQ in the UAE by launching its Middle East versions of the magazines. The company will look to operate in the region through partnerships with local media and catering companies, starting with a number of “magazine theme” restaurant franchises. Jonathan Newhouse, the chairman of Conde Nast International, said the company looks for key advertisers, and they all happen to be in the Emirates.
